Sokka the 57th - [Action/Voice]

[Sokka has some messages to knock out of the way. He doesn't bother with a filter for the first one, mainly because he feels like being somewhat of a jerk and making light of Haruhi's ridiculous relationship with her 'minions'. In spite of that, Sokka's tone is pretty flat. There's no excitement here and it's pretty obvious through the message something is bothering him.]

Hey Haruhi, feel free to send Naoki over. He can do his thing now. [Oh wait...] Uh, after Leon takes a look over it, I guess.

Uh, hey Diana. Can I ask a favor?

[This last one he almost backs out of doing. But it's been a few days now and things haven't changed. Maybe this will help.]

So... hypothetically speaking, how do you make up it up to someone you really care about for something that really hurt them when what you did... there was nothing you could do about it?

[With things so awkward at home with Suki, Sokka has been spending less time there. It's hard to spend time with your girlfriend when she's still upset with you, but being polite about it. So this leaves him working at the smithy for longer hours, actually doing homework at the library, and once more taking part in his neverending quest to find a hat that really says Sokka to him. Through all this, he is accompanied by a certain cheeky lemur hanging around on top of his head, shoulder, or getting into things he shouldn't.

He will, at least, drag himself home for dinner. Delicious, awkward dinner.]

[Okay that last bit sounds like something she should address, but first, give her a moment to process it. Okay, so Sokka - no wait, hypothetical - Man A did something... hurtful to person B. Man A really likes person B. But Man A... couldn't help it?

[...Okay, so it's a little like when she didn't tell Silvie she was engaged, maybe? That could be it. Charlotte isn't sure about this because she ignored that and just tried to do better by Silvie in future. She bites her lip and then nods]

Uh. I- err, they? [Wait, he didn't stage it as being a hypothetical someone else, why is he trying to play it that way?] I was stuck in a situation that was pretty much forced on me.

[The lemur can't help but stare back, even as it leaves Sokka's side in search of what may be potentially tasty books. Sokka, in the meantime, chews on the end of a pencil as he considers math problems.]

So I've got this big heavy teleporter thing and I kinda need to get it over the mountains to the ocean. Unfortunately I'm kind of lacking in the super strength. And the flying. Pretty much a big no on both of those, despite the wings.

Uhh, neither. More the first one than the second. It's uh... complicated.

[Naoki has indeed been sent over to do his thing, so a while after Sokka makes this post (presumably after Leon checks stuff out, as well) he'll be popping his head into the smithy. He gives a knock to the doorframe before wandering on in.]

[Sokka is just in the middle of giving the smithy a THOROUGH cleaning. He's going to town on this smudge on a sword that won't seem to go away. But once Naoki knocks, he stops and turns around and- oh. So, time to get the teleporter moved.]

[As Sokka approaches the shop for his hatting, he might find Fenimore just leaving on a successful hat run of her own, evidenced by the blue-and-white stocking cap on her head. Though that probably won't be what will draw attention. What he might notice first is the oversized white chick sitting on her head, wrapped in the stocking hat like it were in a pile of blankets and looking rather content, its brightly-coloured plume bobbing about as Fenimore moves.

Looks like you're not the only one with a passenger, though Fenimore looks a little annoyed about her own.]

[This does intrigue both Sokka and Momo, although the lemur keeps his distance for now. He's not a bad of birds he doesn't know. Especially since Hawky has some rather sharp talons and beak.]

Nice hat there, Fen. But I don't think it's you.
