[Sokka has some messages to knock out of the way. He doesn't bother with a filter for the first one, mainly because he feels like being somewhat of a jerk and making light of Haruhi's ridiculous relationship with her 'minions'. In spite of that, Sokka's tone is pretty flat. There's no excitement here and it's pretty obvious through the message something is bothering him.]

Hey Haruhi, feel free to send Naoki over. He can do his thing now. [Oh wait...] Uh, after Leon takes a look over it, I guess.

Uh, hey Diana. Can I ask a favor?

[This last one he almost backs out of doing. But it's been a few days now and things haven't changed. Maybe this will help.]

So... hypothetically speaking, how do you make up it up to someone you really care about for something that really hurt them when what you did... there was nothing you could do about it?

[With things so awkward at home with Suki, Sokka has been spending less time there. It's hard to spend time with your girlfriend when she's still upset with you, but being polite about it. So this leaves him working at the smithy for longer hours, actually doing homework at the library, and once more taking part in his neverending quest to find a hat that really says Sokka to him. Through all this, he is accompanied by a certain cheeky lemur hanging around on top of his head, shoulder, or getting into things he shouldn't.

He will, at least, drag himself home for dinner. Delicious, awkward dinner.]

Even if the situation wouldn't have happened somewhere else, it still did here, and you're here so... what matters is what you did, not where it happened.

Mm. [She nods to herself] But that doesn't make you a bad person. All sorts of people do things that hurt other people on accident.

Yeah, I know that. [They just... happen to him a lot. It was just an 'accident' that events led to Princess Yue having to give up her life when Sokka was supposed to protect her. Or an 'accident' that the Invasion was already known about by the enemy, resulting in everyone he led to being captured. So why shouldn't he manage to ruin things with him and Suki with another 'accident'?]

But just being an accident doesn't fix anything.

Of course not! [She sounds mildly surprised. Did she imply that?]

Things can't be fixed until people fix them, right? [Pause] Mm~ You're a good person, so I bet you already said you're sorry.

Yeah, I got that far. [At least Charlotte gives him credit for that much.] That's about it.

So... how did they take it?

She said she needed time... and that I should go back to class.

[Which he didn't do, incidentally. He's a bad student.]

[ ... ...

... ] You apologized during class?

What? No! I skipped class for it.

[It's complicated! Or not. He just doesn't want to get into.]

...Um. Are you sure that was the best time?

That's really, really not the point. I didn't skip class for the sake of apologizing!

...If you're sure! [Jeez, don't skip class!]

What is the point, then?

The point is, she wanted to be alone.

Um, no, I meant why are you asking everyone? A proud boy like Sokka probably doesn't want to hear everyone's advice, right?

[... aha, she's right. He's finding out he really doesn't. Especially given how amazing he has been at not taking any so far.]

I... guess I thought it might help.

So you really love this person, don't you?

[Love. You know, despite the fact that he knew the theme of the last experiment and that he was working on a damn engagement necklace, hearing his relationship with Suki puts some things into context.]

... oh.

[Is that the way Suki realized it? An indirect confession of love by having him stuck in her body?]

[Seeing as how it sounds like he just made a revelation, she doesn't press it further. She's still on the line, so to speak, but she doesn't say anything, instead waiting on seeing if he'll... say something]

[Aaaand then he remembers Charlotte is still there. Uh what did she ask again...?

Oh right.]

Yeah, yeah it is.

[Pause, and then there's a light laugh before she runs a hand through her hair to press on with-]

If it's someone Sokka loves that much, I'm sure they love him just as much back. Even if you hurt her, people who love each other want to be together... and I know she knows you didn't mean to do it. As long as both of you have sincere feelings shared between you, it'll work out.

... I think that only happens in stories, Charlotte.

[Even if he is mostly hoping and banking she is right. He can't help but by a little cynical in light of that much optimism.]

But you want to believe, right?

I want to believe in a lot of things, but I haven't been visited by the Steak Fairy today, so I'm a little skeptical.
