Sokka the 37th - [Written/Voice]

[Sokka's journal is writing out some strange stuff, none of it that Sokka wrote. Or at least, doesn't think he wrote. As he goes over it, he voices his comments at some of the really weird and cryptic messages it's giving him.]

Sokka Thunderaxe Bored today. Don't feel like working at the smithy today. Guess I'll check up on what I've missed.

Sokka Or, you know, just literally showered. In chocolate.
Raine It just seems more like an annoyance than anything else. That really won't stop people from complaining.

[Sokka looks down at himself.]

This is a girl's apron? How?

I'm a guy. And I'm wearing it now. So it's a guy's apron until I give it back. [THAT SETTLES THAT. Back to the kitchen with the cutting board.]

Make sure to wash that before you use it.

[Sokka glances at the cutting board. He flicks off a bug crawling on it. Okay, she has a point. He sets it in the sink for now and returns to looking for the rest of the cooking tools he'll need.]

Maybe I could use my arm instead of the rolling pin...

Or you could use mine after I'm done my demonstration. Your arm isn't as clean.

[In that case, he has everything else he needs, which he sets on the table. After fetching the cutting board (and washing it!), of course.]

Okay. I think we're ready.

First, the crust.

That's the easy part.

Okay. Okay, I can do that.

[Sokka gets one cup of sugar, a tablespoon of salt, and a teaspoon of flour.]

No, no. Toss that. You mixed them up.

Hey, in my defense, it wasn't a very good idea to have them all look so similar.

I guess it's too much for you to read the label. Here's how you can remember them. Flour is light and fluffy, like a powder. Salt and sugar may look similar, but salt usually comes in a cardboard cylinder with a metal tab for the opening.

First the flour, you'll need two of these.

Hey! [Sokka yanks his hand out of hers.]

I can do it. [Two cups of flour. He can do that. One cup... and then two cups. He's halfway there!]

Next pick up the teaspoon. You'll need one teaspoon of salt.

[He does that. And by process of elimination, adds a tablespoon of sugar too.]

There.

Good.

Are you ready for the next step?

[Sokka takes it in his hand and holds it like a knuckle bracer in a fist.]

That dough won't know what hit it.

Sokka, you have to be gentle with it. Like this.

[Sokka pays attention this time. And follows the instructions, doing exactly as he should, for the most part. And then... waits. Because Winry is so gone now.]
