Sokka the 37th - [Written/Voice]

[Sokka's journal is writing out some strange stuff, none of it that Sokka wrote. Or at least, doesn't think he wrote. As he goes over it, he voices his comments at some of the really weird and cryptic messages it's giving him.]

Sokka Thunderaxe Bored today. Don't feel like working at the smithy today. Guess I'll check up on what I've missed.

Sokka Or, you know, just literally showered. In chocolate.
Raine It just seems more like an annoyance than anything else. That really won't stop people from complaining.

Think about it, Winry. It's the perfect prank. There's someone who is kind of a jerk. [Jet for instance.] You say, "Hey. Let's make amends." So you give them a pie. You're happy and leave. But then when they go to dig in... boom! They've got pie all over them.

Sokka, it wouldn't work that way. The holes are to prevent it from exploding in the oven. Once it's out, it doesn't matter.

... I guess it would ruin the flavor if we put an actual explosive in there...

Yes, but if it's for a prank would taste really matter?

... there's no reason they can't eat it off their face. It'd be a waste of food if they didn't eat it afterward. [He's seriously considering this. Stop him.]

Sokka, there will be no prank pies.

[You are no fun Winry, gawd. Even so, he's able to follow this all up to the bit with the pattern. His pie lacks nearly so nice a pattern. It's a bit sloppy looking, really.]

Does that actually improve the taste?

No, but a part of cooking is also presentation.

Yeah, I guess that's true. [Apparently. Presentation isn't really a Water Tribe custom when it comes to food. He tries to do the same thing, but with a White Lotus design. Naturally it ends up looking like generic flower petals. Oh well.]

You think so? It was supposed to be a white lotus, but... you really can't tell.

Why a white lotus?

Oh, well... [From his tunic, he pulls out a stringed necklace with a White Lotus tile on the end.] Master Piandao, the one who trained me and worked with me to make my sword, was a member of the Order of the White Lotus. He gave me this tile if I ever needed to get help from them. [Well, that's what he assumed.]

That's actually pretty neat.

[He slides it back under his tunic.]

Yeah. And Toph named our group after it too. [Back to the pies.] Can we put them in yet?

Yes, and now we set the timer for about fifty-five minutes.

[Well he'll just go on and slide his next to hers.]

Fifty-five minutes... okay, so what do we do now? [So much time to kill!]

We clean up.

... fun. [Well... guess he'll go do that. He'll work on moving stuff to the sink for now.]

It won't be so hard with the two of us.

[He'll be putting stuff away then.] Right. "Easy as pie", right?

When we're done I'll write up the ingredients and instructions for you.

[Since these were her ingredients, he starts closing the various bottles and bags of ingredients and setting them in the bag so they won't spill.]

I could probably remember it on my own. [And it would be horrible.]
