Sokka the 37th - [Written/Voice]

[Sokka's journal is writing out some strange stuff, none of it that Sokka wrote. Or at least, doesn't think he wrote. As he goes over it, he voices his comments at some of the really weird and cryptic messages it's giving him.]

Sokka Thunderaxe Bored today. Don't feel like working at the smithy today. Guess I'll check up on what I've missed.

Raine It just seems more like an annoyance than anything else. That really won't stop people from complaining.

Sokka, take your time. You don't want to toss most of your apple away with the peel.

Who taught you to make pie? Or was it just from a book?

Back home I met a man through Ed. His name was Maes Hughes, and while I was visiting Central he invited me to stay at his place instead of some stiff military hotel. His wife, Gracia, taught me how to make apple pie.

Hughes... oh wait. He's here, isn't he? Has glasses... doesn't mind his own business?

That's him. He's also the man who I made the pie for a little while ago. The one whose leftovers you ate.

Oh! [Well, suddenly the pieces fit together. Of course, it's not much of a puzzle. But at least he knows that part now.] What did he think of the pie?

He enjoyed it.

Well it was good. [He glances down at his apple, cutting it slowly. Something is bugging him though.] Why did you say his name was Mae Hughes?

Yes, why?

[It seemed odd, but then... having been in Luceti so long, maybe she just referred to all her old friends like that? Sometimes he would slip and use the past tense for hid dad, Aang, and the others.] ... it was just odd, that's all.

Now that he's here I guess I should have said is his name.

Yeah, probably. [He finishes his last apple and sets it aside.] Now what?

We soak the apples in water.

Alright. [He starts to take the bowl to the sink.] What about the peels?
