Sokka the 64th - [ Action/Video]

[Well, there it stands in all its glory. Sokka has the journal camera facing away from him, showing off his new boat, that looks like this (or like this when full mast), sitting out in the water. For a lack of other vessels, two canoes are hoisted and secured on either side, those being the Aila and Maza respectively. On both sides of the ship is painted something like this (only less lazy and technically saying '海洋精神' but this is Luceti okay). After getting a good view of the waves crashing on it, Sokka turns the journal back around to himself.]

So there it is, The Ocean Spirit, it's finally finished. All thanks to Brave Vesperia and other people. So... yeah, thanks everyone. Good job. We'll have its maiden voyage soon. Speaking of which - Hey Toph, you mind coming out here and making a dock? It would be... well, a lot more convenient.

Anybody who wants to come out and check it out, just use the teleporter in the barracks. I'll be out here on the beach for awhile.

[END transmission. He'll be there for most of the day, until the evening when he heads home for the usual dinner time.]

[He follows on in, now realizing that there are a lot of clothes in here and wondering if this was a good idea. When he shops, he likes weapons and cool accessories. Not so much clothes.]

Well... she's nineteen? So she's probably done.

[ on the plus side? buffy is a fairly efficient shopper. she knows what she wants or doesn't want from very early on -- she can breeze through a rack rather quickly. ]

Maybe. It's hard to say. [ after all, dawn isn't really the age they've ascribed to her. not by either reckoning. she was more like billions of billions of years old. or possibly five. ]

[Hard to say? He's not known any girl to grow beyond that, except sideways. But whatever, he starts skimming the clothes, looking a bit disinterested.]

What kind of dress do you want anyway?

[ she looks up from her browsing. ] The kind that'll make Jack go non-verbal.

...That's generally the implication, yes. The good kind of non-verbal. But nothing flashy. Dawn's the star, not me.

And you? What're you looking for in terms of hats?

I'm not sure. Something that works with the wolf tail and is adventurous. Not quite... goofy. And not too fancy either. It's gotta be something reliable.

I guess that would depend on what a ball-cap is? I haven't seen any hats that look like a ball.

[And if he did, he probably wouldn't wear it. That's a silly kind of hat.]

[He inspects said ball cap, noting the letters.]

What does this stand for?

Los Angeles Fire Department. Unless it's from some other world and in fact means something completely different. Like -- Less Apples For Dentists. But let's for with the good old LA firemen, instead.

Right... I surprisingly have very little connection with them. Especially since I'm Water Tribe, not Fire Nation. [Still, he puts the hat on anyway. He has to play with it a bit to make his ponytail slip out the back where it latches.]

...No, no -- see? Fire departments? They put out fires. With water. And big, flashing trucks.

So shouldn't they be called the Water Department?

[Meanwhile, Sokka pulls the brim of the hat down a little further and winces as it pulls on his tail. Okay, no, this isn't for him.]

...Well -- they do more than just spray water on things. They also rescue kittens from trees and people from buildings and produce some really sensational calendars.

The more I hear about Earth, the less it makes sense. [He pulls the hat off.] I don't think this is for me.

Believe me, Sokka. The more you live on Earth? The less sense it makes, too.
