Sokka the 64th - [ Action/Video]

[Well, there it stands in all its glory. Sokka has the journal camera facing away from him, showing off his new boat, that looks like this (or like this when full mast), sitting out in the water. For a lack of other vessels, two canoes are hoisted and secured on either side, those being the Aila and Maza respectively. On both sides of the ship is painted something like this (only less lazy and technically saying '海洋精神' but this is Luceti okay). After getting a good view of the waves crashing on it, Sokka turns the journal back around to himself.]

So there it is, The Ocean Spirit, it's finally finished. All thanks to Brave Vesperia and other people. So... yeah, thanks everyone. Good job. We'll have its maiden voyage soon. Speaking of which - Hey Toph, you mind coming out here and making a dock? It would be... well, a lot more convenient.

Anybody who wants to come out and check it out, just use the teleporter in the barracks. I'll be out here on the beach for awhile.

[END transmission. He'll be there for most of the day, until the evening when he heads home for the usual dinner time.]

Well whatever cheerleaders are, I don't see how they'd be able to fight in them.

...Well, they're not made for fighting.

[ she tugs the second one on. she was going to grab sokka's shoulder for balance but decides to do it all on her own just to prove a point. ] But the element of surprise sure is nice for me.

[That is an impressive feat. He'd probably fall over getting the first one on. Assuming he was to ever try one on. Which he won't.]

They'd be even more surprising if the heels were really sharp.

...I've been known to stake a vamp with a heel. And I've also been known to try and stake a vamp with a heel only to find that it was cheap plastic imitation wood. Damn knock-offs.

Also? You don't want to get kicked in the face with one of these.

I generally make it a point to not get kicked in the face at all, but thanks for the warning.

[Well since she's shoed up, he's going to take a step back and give an appraising look.]

Chalk it up to previous Slayer experience, I guess. Though I don't think that would be a very big customer base.

In possession of a Slayer army, remember? A whole castle full of them.

[ she slips out of the shoes and heads back for the fitting room. ]

Right. Well. I kind of prefer to do my own fighting anyway.

[It's possible she won't even hear that. But the idea of outfitting a bunch of superpowered girls while staying home in the castle is not super appealing to him. He's worked too hard to do that.]

[ she was only joking, anyway -- she'd never seriously consider such an offer.

[ a soft smile; however, a social outing is simply not complete without a carefully timed and sensitively asked inquirypoorly planned inquiry: ] Oh! Oh, Sokka? How are -- uhm -- things?

[An inquiry that also catches him entirely off guard.]

...You and Suki? And Yue? And the engagement?

Oh. Right. Those things. [He scratches his neck awkwardly, ending with a shrug.]

We're still engaged? And umm... Yue... [He sighs.] The Malnosso have her right now. [He glances back up at Buffy.] It's kind of selfish, but I try not to think about it too much. I mean, when people are kidnapped.

[herotypical]

How did you do it, Sokka? [ her voice drops a little. ] How did you make Suki understand that it's her. That she's her and you're you and you wouldn't have it any other way? After Yue came?

[markofthewise]

[Well this is an unexpected turn. It takes him a moment to catch up.]

I don't know, she just did? I mean, I don't think it was easy or anything. It's just... Suki knows how I feel.

[herotypical]

Suki knows how you...right. Right. Of course. 'Cause she trusts you. And trust? That's important. It's like -- right up there. Maybe even number one. Number two, at least.

[markofthewise]

Um, yeah, I guess so. Pretty important. [Something tells him this isn't just idle conversation.] Did something happen with you and Jack?

[herotypical]

...My own personal Yue arrived. It's -- he's overreacting. He's gotta be overreacting.

[ a beat. ] Maybe he doesn't trust me. Am I not trustworthy? I try to be. Sure, I fudge the numbers now and then when it comes to my darts score but so does he!
