Sokka the 26th - [Action]

[It's a busy couple of days at the smithy for Sokka. Aside from the huge playground order, which is keeping the place running all day long, he has a few other projects to work on. His own private supply of Batarangs (the boy has gotta have a hobby or twenty), Smoker's Jitte, and hey, he even finished off that saw he was supposed to finish a long time ago for Edward's client, the Medic. It's amazing how much work a guy can get done when he doesn't want to talk to Raphael, because he's a jerk, and Winry because of soap opera-esque brooding. Well, Edward, at least Sokka still has you, you freakish mountain of a teenage boy.

He'll be home later for awhile after work, but then he'll be heading to the roof of the house. Why? Because it's time he got rid of that spotlight with the Batman symbol on it before it causes any unwelcome attention. Or at least, he needs to get the metal bat piece on there off. Too bad it's welded there. All that work to pry it off might cause him to accidentally turn the thing on a few times and illuminate a certain emblem in the sky. Oops?

Naturally of course, feel free to get up in Sokka's business at any point in the day. He also has his journal open, so he'll certainly speak up if his name is mentioned.]

I don't know what happened to you, Paru... and you don't have to tell me. But you don't have to trust me, if you don't want to.

[He removes the strap across his chest, loosening both his sword's sheath and the holster for his boomerang. He sets them both on the coffee table she totally has. His knife follow as well.]

... Are you sure? After last time...

I don't want to give you a reason to be scared of me. So if you ever want me to come over again, I'll leave all of that stuff at home.

*... she brings her knees to her chest and lowers her head.*

[Does he? Well... in a way, he does. On the other hand...]

Only if you want me to.

No. None of that. Just tell me if you want to know. I don't know what's right or wrong anymore, or what I should do... so it's your call.

[markofthewise]

[He takes a good while to consider it and finally, he nods.]

... alright. Tell me. [He shifts his position so he's sitting on the couch now. He's probably going to be here awhile.]

... This is a secret, though. I'm telling you on my terms, but if you tell anyone, or even just give anyone reason to suspect, I won't let you off lightly.

[He nods.]

I won't tell a soul.

... How much have you already figured out?

Oh um. [How much had he figured out? Well, she had someone she thought would protect her, but three years ago that changed.]

Someone betrayed you... someone who was your friend, a really close friend. Whoever it was, they must have done something really horrible.

... How much did I tell you, then, when I was young?

You told me about some of your friends... and your parents, but not much besides that and your uh, real name. [He shrugs.]

I figured it wasn't any of my business to ask you that kind of stuff.

... Did you hear about Reiichi?

[markofthewise]

You mentioned him, I think. But that was it.

[psychebubble]

... I... really loved him. And... he asked me out, a long time ago.

[markofthewise]

[Three years ago...

Sokka nods, not saying anything for now.]

... We dated for a while, and I was happy.

... in the end, though, I... I had gotten a role in a movie, like I wanted. It was small movie, but it was enough that I would have to go stay somewhere else to film it... I told him about that.

[markofthewise]

[Sokka didn't mean to say anything, but under his breath he adds what he knows is to come next.]

... and he didn't like it.

*Starting to tear up.*

... to be honest... I don't remember.

[markofthewise]

[And he notices that. He doesn't quite understand it all just yet, but he thinks he knows where this is going.]

You don't have to say anymore, if you don't want to.

*Shakes her head.*

... I don't remember anything past that anyway... for about a week.

[So it wasn't just bad... it was real bad.]

What happened after that?

*She's trying to stay strong and keep her voice steady, but it's... not working terribly well.*

... Doctors had to tell me what happened. After that... I tried to kill myself.
