[Sokka has been running around throughout this entire invasion of butterflies. Having finally caught a moments rest, he decides it's about time to organize things. There's not much time for complicated filters, so he makes this fast.]

Alright, White Lotus. Heads up. Everyone should already know what's going on, by now. Someone has been killed already, so we need to step things up. Right now the town square seems to be the worst place right now. There's not a lot of us though, so we should concentrate our efforts on the southern part of the village for now. Those things are everywhere though, so be sure you have someone watching your back.

This is Sokka, from the White Lotus. We're here to back you guys up. We'll take care of the southern part of the village with what we can. That should free you guys up to focus on the town square and the rest of the village.

Everyone okay out there? I haven't had a chance to check on everyone left, so let me know if you need me somewhere.

[After the rain of trees finally ended, Sokka was finally able to get back to his usual day. He's dodged boulders before, so it wasn't that big of a deal, even if one did get close to him. Fortunately for as many trees as he saw in the air, it didn't seem to go as badly as it could have been. Or at the very least, his house was fine. The smithy was fine. As far as he knew, his housemates weren't dead. Just another day in Luceti. So once things have settles down, Sokka attempts to get back to work and after using his sword to cut down the flaming log blocking the door the smithy, Sokka climbs over the hunk of wood to get back to the daily grind.

Aside from doing his usual load of the work and maybe a little extra in case some of his smithy workers didn't show today, Sokka will later be out in the plaza making some voice messages. After chopping down another flaming log spear into a reasonably non-burning trunk to sit on, he gets started. Let's see, time to free up his schedule. He clicks his pen and gets started on filters.]

The village is being attacked by flaming tree-sized spears. Keep your eyes on the sky, just in case. It looks like it's let up for now, but you know how it is with the weather, right? It could start up again anytime soon. I don't think bringing an umbrella will help.

I know how this must sound. I think. Well, it might not sound like how I think it does. But anyway. I maaaay have over committed with all of this spirit training stuff. So I was wondering if, you know, maybe we could cut back just a little on that. Maybe even combine lessons too. There's no rule that says only two people can sit around quietly waiting for spirits to start showing up, right? Right. Of course there isn't. But you know, there's always the school. Just a thought.

Hey, the Aila is ready for a coat of paint. Better free up your schedule for that.

[No Filter]

So. Flaming spears from the sky. Do we have a culprit yet?

[It's a busy couple of days at the smithy for Sokka. Aside from the huge playground order, which is keeping the place running all day long, he has a few other projects to work on. His own private supply of Batarangs (the boy has gotta have a hobby or twenty), Smoker's Jitte, and hey, he even finished off that saw he was supposed to finish a long time ago for Edward's client, the Medic. It's amazing how much work a guy can get done when he doesn't want to talk to Raphael, because he's a jerk, and Winry because of soap opera-esque brooding. Well, Edward, at least Sokka still has you, you freakish mountain of a teenage boy.

He'll be home later for awhile after work, but then he'll be heading to the roof of the house. Why? Because it's time he got rid of that spotlight with the Batman symbol on it before it causes any unwelcome attention. Or at least, he needs to get the metal bat piece on there off. Too bad it's welded there. All that work to pry it off might cause him to accidentally turn the thing on a few times and illuminate a certain emblem in the sky. Oops?

Naturally of course, feel free to get up in Sokka's business at any point in the day. He also has his journal open, so he'll certainly speak up if his name is mentioned.]
markofthewise: (This is not my day)
[Sokka is busy sitting in the smithy. There's not much work to do lately, now that the New Feather cycle is winding to a close, so he's trying his hardest to get comfortable on the new couch. It's not working. His journal is lying next to him and happily recording his thoughts for all to hear.]

tl;dr thought processes )

[Sokka stops as he looks up and sees the bubble above his head OVERFLOWING with words. And then to his horror, his journal is wide open just over there. Daaaaaaammit!]
markofthewise: (Me likey)
[Today Sokka has excused himself from work, because really, Edward is a frigging beast and he's not too happy about the new couch just yet, so hanging out here with nothing to do is kind of pointless. So today he's working hard on one of his other, more important projects. Namely, building a few more canoes, now that he's determined the prototype to be perfectly safe. So Sokka is over beside House 56 (facing House 57 and the road to the barracks), sawing the wood for the second canoe in his 'fleet'.

If you're one of the people who agreed to help him, feel free to already be there doing so. Or if you just happen to be out and about in this obscure part of Luceti, feel free to gawk.]
