Sokka the 17th - [Voice/Action]

[So after going around breaking hearts and fighting evil demons, Sokka has found a new hobby to get his mind off of how annoying Luceti can be. That hobby? Cooking!

Surprisingly enough, despite the fact he's used the smithy as his personal kitchen for the past few days, Sokka has managed to complete a batch of eel jerky (or rather, a dish of mán xiāng consisting of salt cured eel) that actually doesn't taste absolutely horrible. It's nothing exceptional, but it is rather tasty. He's set out a plate of the stuff in the smithy, along with some vinegar bowl in a display that looks nowhere near as nice as this picture. At the very least it looks edible. Anyone who for whatever reason decides to drop by the smithy today are more than welcome to try some of Sokka's latest cooking experiment. Otherwise he's going to be inviting people over the journal.]

Hey Sanji, Brook! I finished the eel jerky I told you about. If you want to drop by you can have some. Anyone else who wants some can drop by too, but it probably won't last long if everyone does, though.

If he's not back soon, we'll go looking for him.

[It's not that she wants to see him, it's really really not that she wants to see him, but... she doesn't want him out there and beating himself up over this stupid experiment, and she doesn't want him to get hurt because of it either.]

When's soon? The end of the week?

[Sokka nods.] I'm sure he has his journal with him, at least. He probably knows about... the whole thing.

The whole thing? What are you talking about?

[markofthewise]

The whole thing. [The experiment, Katara! Don't make him say it.]

Sokka. Use different words.

... the experiment.

[markofthebrave]

...oh. Well, yeah, I figured that he figured it out. [Which would be why he left.

And suddenly memories of the experiment rush back and she blushes a little and can't meet her brother's gaze.]

["And I figured that you figured that he figured that out. Did you figure that out?"

Anyways, awkward subject to bring up. How about something a little better. But those flowers at the fountain were weird. [Wait, that's not better. Dammit, Sokka.]

Yeah? [Have a look doused with mischief.] What about them was weird?

Let's just say that in my drunken stupor, I gave out quite a few of those flowers. And received an equal number of kisses in return.

[And Katara gasps.] So that's why I kissed him!

[...wait a minute -- admitting that to Sokka is a bad idea. Let's try the old 'best defense is a good offense' routine.] Wait -- what do you mean? You figured it out and started handing it out to girls to get kisses?! Sokka! How could you do that?

[He had a finger up, about to call her out on the whole kissing a guy thing, but she beats him to the punch.]

It wasn't my fault! Winry talked me into drinking that stuff. And I only did it to test the theory!

[Oh relief.]

Yeah, maybe the first time! But what about all the rest?

There were several different girls! I didn't figure it out until like, the last one.

Besides! Someone gave YOU a flower, apparently! Who was it? Was it Tormod [He's so going to kick his ass now.]

What? What is it with your obsession with Tormod?

[Oh no he doesn't. Never retreat! Never surrender!]

[IT WAS TORMOD, WASN'T IT. CONFIRMED.] Why do you like him so much!?

I don't! He's just a nice kid who helped me out when I got here!

--you don't think it was Tormod who -- Ugh! You are so impossible sometimes!

Yeah? Well tell me who it was, then. [So Sokka can go have a talk with them. Totally not a hypocrite, here.]

It's none of your business is who it is! I'm sure he didn't know what the flower was doing unlike some people here!

It is my business! Big brother, remember? If you asked me who gave me a flower, I wouldn't keep it a secret at all. And I told you, I only figured it out at the end!

Fine, then. Who'd you kiss?

[And Katara regrets that as soon as she says it. She doesn't really want to know who her brother kissed - ew - but she's not backing down now.]

You want to know? It was Anise, our old neighbor. [And she was pretty angry about Sokka being her 'first kiss' too, since apparently the one before didn't count. Actually it was kind of funny to think back on it now.] Now you tell me.
