Sokka the 17th - [Voice/Action]

[So after going around breaking hearts and fighting evil demons, Sokka has found a new hobby to get his mind off of how annoying Luceti can be. That hobby? Cooking!

Surprisingly enough, despite the fact he's used the smithy as his personal kitchen for the past few days, Sokka has managed to complete a batch of eel jerky (or rather, a dish of mán xiāng consisting of salt cured eel) that actually doesn't taste absolutely horrible. It's nothing exceptional, but it is rather tasty. He's set out a plate of the stuff in the smithy, along with some vinegar bowl in a display that looks nowhere near as nice as this picture. At the very least it looks edible. Anyone who for whatever reason decides to drop by the smithy today are more than welcome to try some of Sokka's latest cooking experiment. Otherwise he's going to be inviting people over the journal.]

Hey Sanji, Brook! I finished the eel jerky I told you about. If you want to drop by you can have some. Anyone else who wants some can drop by too, but it probably won't last long if everyone does, though.

Fine, then. Who'd you kiss?

[And Katara regrets that as soon as she says it. She doesn't really want to know who her brother kissed - ew - but she's not backing down now.]

You want to know? It was Anise, our old neighbor. [And she was pretty angry about Sokka being her 'first kiss' too, since apparently the one before didn't count. Actually it was kind of funny to think back on it now.] Now you tell me.

[Oh no. If she's in for this, she's getting her money's worth.] That's only one.

[markofthewise]

Oh no, Katara. You only asked who I kissed, not who kissed me.

[markofthebrave]

Oh no you don't. We were talking about the magic kissing flowers! And I didn't ask -- you offered!

[markofthewise]

Okay, fine. [He starts numbering them off on his hand.]

First one, I gave Anise the flower back after she got mad at me. Then I gave one to Aerith because I was being nice. Then after Winry and I drank some of that stuff, I gave her one because of... stuff. [...] And then after that, there was some girl named Xion. I didn't know her, so I sort of worked out something was weird when she kissed me, so I gave her an extra to test the theory. And then after that, I gave one to Toph, because... yeah.

There. Now your turn.

[And then she starts laughing.]

That... is so wrong.

Yeah yeah. Hilarious. Your turn.

OK, OK. It's not that big of a deal anyway. I just kissed him on the cheek. I was talking about how beautiful the willow trees were, and Hugo asked me if I liked flowers. I said yes, so he gave me one.

...I still think I owe him an apology for what happened after that. But I couldn't figure out why I'd kissed him.

... wait, Hugo? [He's harmless.] I can't believe you made such a big deal about Hugo.

What? I didn't make a big deal about this. You did!

You were the one trying to keep it a secret.

[markofthebrave]

That's because it's not your business! [There's a small blush that goes along with that.]

Yeah well...

Want some more eel jerky?

[Katara accepts your 'Lets not fight about this anymore' offering and hands you one as well.]

So... Winry, huh? Does that make things awkward?

[markofthewise]

[And Sokka takes it, chewing on it thoughtfully.]

It did for a few days, but we sort of agreed to never mention it again. [It got a lot more awkward than just a kiss on the cheek, after all. There was hugging and falling in fountains, after all. Katara might remember the awkward that ensued at the party.]

How's that working out for you?

[She does remember the awkwardness at his birthday party, but it had been pushed to the back of her mind with her own issues. And she's hoping the 'ignore it' thing works pretty well, because that is exactly what she's planning on doing when Zuko comes back.]

Enough for Winry to give me tips for dipping sauce, apparently. [So apart from some SEXUAL TENSION awkwardness, just fiiiiiine.]

Yeah? Did she suggest the vinegar?

[SEXUAL TENSION Awkwardness she can deal with. Maybe she'll be able to try to not to drown Zuko as soon as she sees him.]

Sweet and sour sauce, actually. Which means I'll have to make this stuff again, only at home. [Alas, she declared there will be no more food in the smithy.]

[Shrug] Just remember to clean up the kitchen when you're done.

[A beat pause and then] I redid the living room yellow.

[markofthewise]

... yellow. [Eyebrow raised.] I thought I was supposed to be the one with bad taste in colors.
