Sokka the 1st | [Voice/Action]

[Sokka is still sleeping comfortably, thanks in a large part to having arrived inside of a nice warm house. That is, he's sleeping on the floor of House 2 and somehow both snoring and drooling on his open journal. His usual clothes, which were nicely folded around him, have been unconsciously snatched at and thrown on top of him as a makeshift blanket. Naturally all that snoring is being transmitted by voice, as is a few other words...]

Hmmm... stop Momo... that's... vegetables!?

[He's been getting that a lot, here.] How old did you expect me to be?

I was at least expecting some gray hair here and there. Interesting hair though. I think I like it. [Since there are totally no blonds in the Avatar world.]

I'm sure they'll happen any day now, if my life keeps up at this rate. [Yeah, there are no blonds in Avatar. Nash is going to pretend not to be disturbed by Sokka's hair-related curiosity.] Should we be going, then?

Personally, this isn't a place I'd want to get old in. [Sokka glances at the various stores.] Sure. Which one?

I've only been here for a few days. I got old on my own. [He's still done enough recon to recognize the place with weapons, so he points it out.]

[Sokka decides to head in first. Immediately his expression is one of awe as he realizes he can have anything he wants. Of course his first instinct is to grab the largest sword in the store and attempt to lift it over his head. He fails at doing so, but he does notice something off in one corner and runs to grab it.]

Boomerang! You came back again!

[Nash is just going to stand in the store watching. He already picked up all of his toys, and is generally less of a teenager. Because he's not a teenager. ]

Is that yours?

Yup, good old Boomerange. My dad gave it to me. [Sokka ends up not only adding a few of his own weapons, like his machete and club, but also a spear, a few knives, a whip, nunchuks, and any other weapons he can carry. He drops them all into a pile when he spots the real treasure.] My space sword!

[Still just watching, amused. Does he know how to use all those things? Probably not. But, he is curious about one thing, and cocks an eyebrow–] Your space sword?

[Sokka unsheathes the black blade to make sure it really is his sword.] I forged it myself from a meteorite. Well, with a little help, but still!

[That's actually pretty impressive, Sokka.] And the metal isn't brittle? [He laughs.] I guess it wouldn't be, if you could forge it.

[But now Nash actually has to look for something.] You fight with one sword?

You could say it was a ... forge-one conclusion! [Sokka cracks up laughing at this.]

Just the one. You don't?

Well, I don't really do much with swords, at all these days, remember?

[He looks at the swords to find one of an appropriate length and balance. ]

Oh, right. Of course. Maybe you should practice some first? I think I should do some more shopping and find out more about this place. And uh, maybe see if any of my friends are around. [And do some more shopping.]

[He finds a sword that he likes, and picks it up. At least he seems to know how to hold it.] I think I'll be fine. But you can take all the time you want. It isn't like I have anything better to do, right? Before, I was a book.

You can be a book again when I let you know when I'm ready. [Sokka starts putting all the weapons he plans to take with him into a pile.]

I can help if you'd like. Do you even know how to use all those things?

Not all of them...

I suppose it never hurt to be prepared.

Exactly! [Sokka grabs as many of the weapons as he can, but there are still several left on the ground.] I guess I can always come back...

They are weapons, so it might be best to handle them carefully.

Hey, don't worry about it! I got it!

[Of course, the first thing Sokka does is get caught in the doorway of the store. He manages to get out by walking sideways, but trips on the way out and weapons are sent flying into the snow all around him.]

It would be rude to comment, wouldn't it? [He's smiling as he says this, but Nash smiling is always sort of smug. He does try to help pick up all the weapons, staring at the whip, for a bit as he does so.]

Well I didn't hurt myself. All my fingers in tact! [Sokka gathers up the remaining weapons as well, but he notices Nash staring at the whip.] I think they had other whips in there if you want one.

I don't. It's just an interesting choice. [Avoiding a dirty joke. Avoiding a dirty joke.] I have everything I need already. I'm fairly self-sufficient, even if the missus doesn't think I'll ever amount to anything.
