Sokka the 76th - [Action/Voice]

It was an adjustment. He didn't much like that he was now single. He hated even more the circumstances that led to it. But after this long, Sokka owed it to himself to put himself back together and make some sense of his life. Or at the very least, try and be a little upright for the sake of his friends. After burying himself in work for the past few weeks, it was time for some sunshine. As sunny as it could be in January, anyway. So while he's out, he's not exactly chipper. But he's trying his best to not look as somber and cranky as he has the last few weeks.

Today, he's out with Foo Foo Cuddly Poops, the tiny Saber Toothed Moose-Lion cub he received for Christmas. The little beast is getting a bit bigger now. His little horns are protruding more and he was growing consistently. The little thing could fit on Sokka's head before, but not anymore. He was just shy of being the size of a beagle now. He'd already been bigger than Sokka remembered when he received him on Christmas. Having seen the mother, he knew Foo Foo would only get bigger. He also couldn't leave Foo Foo at home, since his teeth were coming in. Which meant he was chewing up anything he could get his paws on. Not to mention he was hardly housebroken. So this is why today, Sokka was going to the grocery to explore the diet of moose-lions so he could carry it all back in bulk. Which is why he also had an unseemly large bag. He suspected, before long, he'd have to start using a wheel barrow.

At the grocery store, the two explore a variety of foods they both like. Fruits and meat. It seems Foo Foo has a similar appetite to Sokka.

While he's off in one corner letting Foo Foo got to town on a basket of apples, he hits up the journals.

[Voice]

So. How exactly do you teach an animal not only to stop chewing on your valuables, but also to do their business outside? You know, without actually keeping them outside all the time. [A pause as he looks over at Foo Foo.] At least while they'll still fit in the house.

It would depend upon the animal, I suppose. Giving them something else to chew on is a good way.

As for house-training... [He's going to look at Saizou for a moment before continuing] Watch them for a day and when they start to look for a place to go to the bathroom, put them outside. They'll learn.

Oh, I wouldn't think of hurting a pet, silly. Just my students.

Isn't it? Your pet is quite safe to follow my advice.

[dur hur, yup, he likes being obtuse]

[He laughs a little.] You can have faith in your teacher for this, Sokka-kun.

What are you keeping, by the way? I don't think we've met.
ahappylie: (Oops)

[Oh right, he forgot that none of your animals make any sense.]

....That seems like it will get big when its older. Where are you keeping it now?

Do you need help building a-- [what was it again] --saber-toothed moose lion pen?

Of course. We made pens for the pigs and other animals back home sometimes. I made one for Fish, too.
ahappylie: (Uh....?)

Why did you choose such a huge pet? It isn't impossible to make, but it's likely he'll need a house to himself.

Maybe the Malnosso thought you needed a cute sidekick.

Does he get along with your pet bird at least?
ahappylie: (Regrettable)

...Ah. I didn't realize... I'm sorry, Sokka-kun.

It sounds like a wonderful life.

[Which reminds him... Ah, but no, asking after what is going on now that you-know-who is back is probably unwise.]

It is possible, though. Many people have been sent home recently. Perhaps he was lucky.

[He would say something about how he's noticed that the numbers in the village are dropping noticeably for once, but it doesn't seem like something Sokka would want to hear.]

Then he is likely at home and waiting for you; or at home and making many baby Hawkies for you.

But wouldn't it be fun to train all the babies? You could get each one to do a specific task.
