Sokka the 60th - [Action/Voice]

[Today? Sokka is at the smithy. Honestly, are we really surprised by this? Seriously, this is kind of his thing. He is waiting for Winry, though. He wants her input on a project.]

It's been two weeks since the equinox. And we're finally getting a break from all the rain. Funny how the new season just kind of Springs up on you like that, am I right?

[Oh Sokka, you are hi-lar-ious. He wipes a tear from his eye even, pleased that he managed to let such a well-seasoned joke be released into the wild. Oh, speaking of wild.]

No but seriously, now that it's getting that time of year, how many people out here hunt and fish? I know, I know. Boo hoo, the talking animals. I've heard it. But is there anyone here besides me who still does that kind of thing?

[Also, lately Sokka is keeping a new little trinket in one of his pockets. It's something he intends to give to someone at the right time. After the small blunder of forgetting to bring it on Suki's birthday, he's keeping it all the time on him now. So even as he's walking away from home, he'll often put his hand in his pocket to make sure it's still there. He probably won't show it to just anyone, though.]

Okay, not so much those. [He has very basic skills in those. Just enough to survive.]

Carpentry, medicine, shaving, waxing, hair styling, flying?

[Whoa whoa whoa slow down, he tries to answer all of those.]

Uh, I'm pretty good at carpentry, I know some first aid, of course I can shave, I guess I could wax stuff, I take care of my own hair, and uh I can't fly without Appa.

[Wait-] You grow facial- oh yeah, the dad form had some... [...She trails off here, and then shrugs]

A lot of guys here don't seem like they'd shave.

[Dad form had a LOT. And Sokka had to shave daily like that. He has to shave... less often at present.]

Yeeeeah, I kinda noticed that. Frankly a lot of guys around here seem kind of, you know, girly.

Huh, you think so? Not really... [Thinking about it. A few of them do a little, but not enough to say a "lot."]

Well maybe not a whole lot, but there's a few guys out there that, well, you wouldn't exactly know unless you talked to them.

...Oh yeah! Totally! Like that one blond guy Richard, the one who was dating Naoki? Totally looks the part. Or that one silver-haired tranny guy.

[he has no idea who Richard is, but Naoki was dating a guy?

You mean Frey?

Huh, I think that was his name... looks like a girl, probably has a lingering X chromosome, long hair, braided, blue eyes, I think?

Yeah, that's the guy. The Malnosso apparently have a sense of humor, because he got turned into a girl again during the last experiment.

Between you and me, it's hard to notice the difference... from the back.

[That last line... she smirks]

Wait, so as a girl, he's stacked?

Oh yeah, they're practically the size of his head! I dunno how he can even stand it.

Seriously, I don't know how a lot of these girls do it! I mean Winry wears tight enough clothes that it's not that bad, but some of these chicks... [Sigh]

Seriously! [He almost blurts out, "Mine were so much more manageable."

But he'd never live that down.]

I mean, it seems like it would hurt. Especially this one girl I know...

Well provided someone's making them some nice, supportive - preferably of good material - bras, that's one thing, so it should...

Well it should even the scales a bit, but who knows: some of these people probably work under a different set of physics.
