Sokka the 54th - [Voice/Action]
[Sokka's day will involve a few things. One of them won't include shoveling all the snow out of the way of his house. It's not that he's lazy, but when his sister can take care of that in less than a minute, why even bother? Later his day will involve working on important things at the smithy, like the metal casing for a certain teleporter. And maybe some weapons or the key-shaped variety. Or helping New Feathers find their weapons so they can go about being dangerous. He'll also do lunch in the plaza... maybe do some shopping.
But why dwell on the bad parts? Before his kidnapping, Sokka is available for running into. Also, in light of the fact the snow is coming down pretty hardcore today and is, frankly, almost a blizzard, he feels inclined to make a voice post in the middle of the day.]
You know, we had that big blizzard about the same time last year. Well, not big big. I've seen bigger. But we had a lot of people get stranded out in that stuff. Actually, I met a lot of people being stranded at the Straw Hat's place... Uh, anyway. Yeah, blizzards. Bad stuff. Better make sure you got a lot of food at home, just in case.
[Hours later, on his way home, he'll meet some delightful metal men who will proceed to knock him out and drag him off, being nice enough to leave his sword and boomerang in the snow.]

Err. No. They're Lupin's friends. Or cronies. Whatever you'd call them.

Sort of an ex really. Sometimes we work together, sometimes we work against each other, we've dated, it's complicated.
You can guess why his friends wouldn't get along with me, hm~? [Well that and she's extra bitchy right back to them...]

Lupin's such an idiot that they want to be the only ones to call him on it.
[That's... actually almost somewhat true even.]
no subject
[Now Lupin IS an idiot?]

Besides you don't get to be the world's best by being completely thick. I guess he's one of those guys you'd just have to meet. You can't help thinking he's an idiot, but you can't really hate him all the way through either.
[Yes, and no. He's smart, and a pain in the world's ass. Clever, but sometimes too impressed with his own cleverness and does some REALLY retarded things. Like stealing Hutler's toupee (Hutler = Hitler III) or flying hang-gliders to jump the Berlin wall. What do you call that?]

[Kinda reminds Sokka of himself.]

[So very exactly. And not that Fujiko would admit it, but she's gone through hell for Lupin, spent an entire year trying to break him out of prison only to get stopped by Jigen for Lupin's pride, and stuck by him against entire armies. They're antagonistic, but undeniably close.]

[He's on cloud nine now, Fujiko. Way to go.]

[She won't wreck it then. XD]

And I do a little of this, a little of that. You could say I'm a legend hunter, so we cross paths quite a bit, not always on the same side.
[Normally she wouldn't be this open and honest, but it's looking more like it won't matter if anyone in Luceti figures it out, and even if Lupin was here, he'd make that very goal known in a matter of days. Or minutes.]
no subject
Huh... that must be some legacy to live up to. [As much as he tries to sound impressed, he isn't.]
What kind of legends do you hunt? [He's thinking RARE ANIMALS.]
no subject
His family was a bit... hm. Pressuring. To give him credit, much as I hate to admit it... and whether you'll believe it or not, he really has saved the world more times than I can even count. Mad scientists are crazy and well... sometimes he's the only one who can, or at least who's in place to do it. And it's not like he's your regular thief at all. He's so damn picky. Even as flashy as he is.
[Actually~! He'd be right! Only by "hunt" she means "find and liberate" not kill.] Ah... things no one would believe. [Small laugh.] Well, you're not from my world, so I guess you wouldn't have heard of the Loch Ness Monster? And in my world, white tigers are going extinct so I spent a while err... dealing with poachers. Sometimes I search for historic rarities too. [Or cursed gems that ger her almost killed, yup.]
no subject
I know what tigers are... [He's seen pictures, at least. There are none of those at home.] What's a Loch Ness Monster? [Because it sounds cool. And you get points for taking on this kind of stuff.]
no subject
Supposedly the last living plesiosaurus -- that's a type of dinosaur, if you've heard of them. I've also run across dragons, vampirs, werewolves, Sinbad, and Davey Jones. Davey Jones is a bitch though. I hate her. [She really really REALLY does. And yes... Davey Jones is a woman in her world.] But of course~ It's practically tall-tales. The price of searching for legends is that you can never tell anyone about it. Or you can, they'd just try to lock you up in an insane asylum.
