Sokka the 54th - [Voice/Action]
[Sokka's day will involve a few things. One of them won't include shoveling all the snow out of the way of his house. It's not that he's lazy, but when his sister can take care of that in less than a minute, why even bother? Later his day will involve working on important things at the smithy, like the metal casing for a certain teleporter. And maybe some weapons or the key-shaped variety. Or helping New Feathers find their weapons so they can go about being dangerous. He'll also do lunch in the plaza... maybe do some shopping.
But why dwell on the bad parts? Before his kidnapping, Sokka is available for running into. Also, in light of the fact the snow is coming down pretty hardcore today and is, frankly, almost a blizzard, he feels inclined to make a voice post in the middle of the day.]
You know, we had that big blizzard about the same time last year. Well, not big big. I've seen bigger. But we had a lot of people get stranded out in that stuff. Actually, I met a lot of people being stranded at the Straw Hat's place... Uh, anyway. Yeah, blizzards. Bad stuff. Better make sure you got a lot of food at home, just in case.
[Hours later, on his way home, he'll meet some delightful metal men who will proceed to knock him out and drag him off, being nice enough to leave his sword and boomerang in the snow.]

Huh... that must be some legacy to live up to. [As much as he tries to sound impressed, he isn't.]
What kind of legends do you hunt? [He's thinking RARE ANIMALS.]

His family was a bit... hm. Pressuring. To give him credit, much as I hate to admit it... and whether you'll believe it or not, he really has saved the world more times than I can even count. Mad scientists are crazy and well... sometimes he's the only one who can, or at least who's in place to do it. And it's not like he's your regular thief at all. He's so damn picky. Even as flashy as he is.
[Actually~! He'd be right! Only by "hunt" she means "find and liberate" not kill.] Ah... things no one would believe. [Small laugh.] Well, you're not from my world, so I guess you wouldn't have heard of the Loch Ness Monster? And in my world, white tigers are going extinct so I spent a while err... dealing with poachers. Sometimes I search for historic rarities too. [Or cursed gems that ger her almost killed, yup.]
no subject
I know what tigers are... [He's seen pictures, at least. There are none of those at home.] What's a Loch Ness Monster? [Because it sounds cool. And you get points for taking on this kind of stuff.]

Supposedly the last living plesiosaurus -- that's a type of dinosaur, if you've heard of them. I've also run across dragons, vampirs, werewolves, Sinbad, and Davey Jones. Davey Jones is a bitch though. I hate her. [She really really REALLY does. And yes... Davey Jones is a woman in her world.] But of course~ It's practically tall-tales. The price of searching for legends is that you can never tell anyone about it. Or you can, they'd just try to lock you up in an insane asylum.
no subject
[Except for dragons and vampires, that's all pretty much all lost on him.] ... yeah. Well, at least all the tall tales are true?
no subject
Some of them. Still doesn't mean anything. But I hunt them more the benefit of seeing them and knowing it's real or not. Not like I'm going to be writing a book about it anytime.
It's almost nice though. With all the craziness that is here, it doesn't seem so strange in comparison I suppose.

I can't say my life was that crazy before Luceti. Some things still made sense back home. Not so much here.
no subject
Oh~? What was it like?
no subject
W-well, uh. It was war. Lots of swords, spears, fire, and rocks being thrown around.
no subject
Spears and rocks? What century are you from?
no subject
Uh, not exactly relevant. I'm not from Earth. The rocks are from the earthbenders.

[Okay, conceptualized. The Machinist made it work. Still, Sokka had the fundamental idea down!]

That's so amazing!
[She's not sure if he's lying, or just genuinely THAT much like Lupin.]

I have to admit, I'm quite impressed. Have you done anything like that here?

Maybe it's just a matter of finding a need niche.

Do you ever try your hand at new ones?
