[Sokka is still out at the ocean, only with the Gaang and those Ferines ladies. It's a bit cold, but hell, it's the ocean and camping out in front of it is pretty awesome. Good thing he came crazy prepared for it. Except for, you know, a boat. So much for seafood. If for some reason you're in that vicinity, feel free to pester him. But as he gets a chance, he opens up the journal for catch up with people on the other side of the mountains.]

Well the ocean isn't going anywhere, I don't think. But it's not getting any bigger, so I guess Luceti won't be flooding. Good news? Now I just- [A lemur suddenly crowds the screen and Sokka has to shoo him off.] NO! Momo, the journal isn't for sitting on.

Yeesh.

Anyway! Now I just have some of my canoes over here... I wonder if that teleporter-building guy can get a new one out here or something? Or maybe if there was a railway over the mountains... or in the tunnels! Too bad there's no airships around here, that would make things easier. If Appa was still around, the trip back would be a lot easier...

It'd kind of out of the way. Like, "Walk two days to get there" kind of inconvenient - and that's only because we skipped there with the hot springs teleporter.

[BOTHERED. Sokka and Momo both look up the small pot of leftover meat Sokka is cooking.]

Not sure. I'm not sure Fenimore and the others are in a hurry to leave. [Who knew they loved the ocean so much?]

[Fenimore has actually been showing some restraint around the ocean, despite her initial, obviously overjoyed reaction. She didn't dive in, restraining herself to wading. Ostensively this is due to the cold, but it's really a futile attempt to keep her identity as a Ferines secret. Maybe Sokka and his friends hadn't noticed Stella being so obvious about it. Maybe if they had they wouldn't make the connection to her.

Sokka is a good guy. She can trust him to not react too badly about it...she thinks. She could have told him that she wasn't human if it had been necessary, even if she would prefer to avoid it. And she might be able to trust his friends by extension--though she was much less certain about that.

But she doesn't feel ready. And, when the thought crossed her mind of telling her other friends the way she had told Atsuki, she hadn't thought it would be like this. She wants to argue with Stella against casually demonstrating their abilities, the way she had argued with Walter over it, and scold her, but she had found that she couldn't find the words, and she still can't.

She can't find the words to tell a woman so accepting of Orerines that, even more than a year later, she is still scared.

So, instead, she tries to keep a little apart from the group. How much separation she managed likely varied from person to person but, honestly, she can't remember. The past two days have been rather fuzzy for her.

It's not enough to bring her entirely down--it would take a lot to upset her now that she's finally back by the ocean--but she is rather subdued. Still, it's not worrying her enough to stop her from commenting when she happens to pass closely enough to overhear Sokka making his entry.]

Please don't encourage people to make more telly-ports. Not to the ocean.

[From his journal-speaking perch watching the beach, which is sitting on top of a rolled up sleeping bag, he doesn't quite get up for Fenimore. He does turn to acknowledge her and look puzzled by her request.]
