[Sokka is still out at the ocean, only with the Gaang and those Ferines ladies. It's a bit cold, but hell, it's the ocean and camping out in front of it is pretty awesome. Good thing he came crazy prepared for it. Except for, you know, a boat. So much for seafood. If for some reason you're in that vicinity, feel free to pester him. But as he gets a chance, he opens up the journal for catch up with people on the other side of the mountains.]

Well the ocean isn't going anywhere, I don't think. But it's not getting any bigger, so I guess Luceti won't be flooding. Good news? Now I just- [A lemur suddenly crowds the screen and Sokka has to shoo him off.] NO! Momo, the journal isn't for sitting on.

Yeesh.

Anyway! Now I just have some of my canoes over here... I wonder if that teleporter-building guy can get a new one out here or something? Or maybe if there was a railway over the mountains... or in the tunnels! Too bad there's no airships around here, that would make things easier. If Appa was still around, the trip back would be a lot easier...

So... how's things? Back in the village and stuff.

Think there's any big sea monsters in there?

I'm not sure. Wouldn't that be bad for the Malnosso? If people started getting eaten by it or something...

Well they've got bears here. And wolves. And giant wolves. They're not that concerned for our safety.

Oh, that's true, too... well, if they have to have monsters, I hope they're not really aggressive. Otherwise no one can go sailing.

Unless we fight them. [Okay so maybe Luceti has had a slight effect in the scale of what Sokka thinks they can handle.]

...I didn't see you jumping up to fight the Unagi or the monster in the Serpent's Pass.

I wasn't properly prepared for either encounter. Taking down something big like that takes planning and the right equipment. I can't just go kill one with a sword.

I don't know what kind of equipment you can get out there on the water... though now I'm curious.

Well we'd need a big boat! With cannons, of course. Some automatic harpoons. It would need to be durable... after all, we saw that Serpent snap a Fire Nation ship in two.

Of course, we could just grab some of the people here with special powers and stuff. That might make it too easy.

I guess it depends on what you're looking for- a challenge, or safer waters. You could have both, but it would just take longer.

Yeah, yeah. I guess.

[Shrugging anyway.]

Someone will take care of it eventually. I'll just settle for getting my canoes out here.

We don't even know if 'it' exists. [So amused.] There's trees on the mountain here, so why not just make canoes on this side instead?

Because I don't have to! See, I talked to this guy, Leon or something. He's going to make a second teleporter that will go to the beach. Only this one will be big enough to fit a lot more stuff. Of course, it does mean I have to work on most of the material, but...

Are those teleporters... safe? [Kind of wary here. Handling technology, one step at a time...]

We got here in one piece, didn't we? Besides! I've messed around with it plenty of times! [Of course, this is Sokka. He always trusts technology first.]

So you'll be the first to grow an extra head, then? [Because making light of things totally makes them less scary... eh heh...]
