Sokka the 28th - [Voice]

[Sokka has been running around throughout this entire invasion of butterflies. Having finally caught a moments rest, he decides it's about time to organize things. There's not much time for complicated filters, so he makes this fast.]

[Filtered to the White Lotus 50%]

Alright, White Lotus. Heads up. Everyone should already know what's going on, by now. Someone has been killed already, so we need to step things up. Right now the town square seems to be the worst place right now. There's not a lot of us though, so we should concentrate our efforts on the southern part of the village for now. Those things are everywhere though, so be sure you have someone watching your back.

[Filtered to the Blue Rogues 50%]

This is Sokka, from the White Lotus. We're here to back you guys up. We'll take care of the southern part of the village with what we can. That should free you guys up to focus on the town square and the rest of the village.

[Filtered to Housemates and Friends 40%]

Everyone okay out there? I haven't had a chance to check on everyone left, so let me know if you need me somewhere.

[And Naoki is doing his damndest to be quick. It takes a few minutes to find sheltered, dry spots on the building to stick the wards, but eventually he gets four slapped on. Then, he narrows his eyes--nothing visibly happens, but an invisible barrier will spread out around the building, pushing all of the Tease away as it does. He calls out as he hurries back around the building.]

Did that do it?

[In the meantime, Sokka has managed to fend off most of the creatures. Fortunately there's not as many as there had been earlier, but he's wounded, tired, and soaked. So when Naoki returns, he barely even looks up at him.]

I dunno, what's it supposed to do?

[Naoki turns his head, looking toward where a bunch of Tease are fluttering against an invisible barrier, unable to get any closer.]

That, but... C'mon, over here out of the rain for a coupla minutes.

[Sokka glances up and spots it. Yup, it seems to be doing the trick. So he nods and goes to safety and to where it's dry. Is this day ever going to end?]

Those ward things are handy. How long will it last?

Watanuki-san said that they'll last for a few days, at least.

[He ducks out of the rain and swipes a hand across his face briefly.] Want me to heal you?

[Well that would save his sister from having to do it...]

Uh, sure. If it won't tire you out or anything.

Yeah, it'll be fine. [He extends a hand a little, markings glowing white, casting the healing magic over him in a wave.]

[~~HP/MP Restored! But your still hungry...~~ Sokka feels some of his wounds closing up in response and a dose of energy. It's not quite like a caffeine boost, but at least now he doesn't feel like he's going to fall over.] Thanks.

[Naoki fights back a rush of dizziness and nods.] 'Welcome. [Pause, and--] What next?

[Sokka notices that. Looks like Naoki wasn't so fine after all.]

If you think you've got it in you, we should set up another ward on the other building.

[Naoki blinks a few times before nodding.]

Yeah, I'm alright. Let's go.

Alright. [Sokka goes for his sword again. He told Toph the White Lotus was a bad idea. He could be home watching this blow over. Oi. And after a moment's pause, he'll take off towards the next building, cutting through any of those buggers that get in his way.]

[And Naoki dashes after him, shredding any that get too close with brief bursts of magic, shaky though they may be.] Same thing again? Won't take me as long this time.

You've got it. [Once they're at the next building, Sokka will try to locate where the... well damn. There's a lot of them here. He'll just have to do his best to keep them off of Naoki for now.]

[Naoki tenses a bit as he sees all of them, but doesn't slow. He sets his jaw and moves toward the building--sooner the wards get put up, the better. Even if that means risking a couple of bites in the process.]

[In the meantime, Sokka fights them off as best as he can. But it's a battle going downhill. By the time Naoki finishes up, Sokka will have one of those butterflies on an exposed part of his back where his clothes have been torn away. It's got it's teeth into Sokka's shoulder, unfortunately he's unable to get it off while keeping the other ones off him.]

[As a barrier spreads around the building, Naoki turns quickly back to him. He reaches out to pry its teeth from his shoulder, it biting down on his hand instead before he lights it up with a burst of fire.]

Damn... [Naoki moves toward the remaining ones, incinerating some of them before the world starts lurching in his vision.]

[Even with a bleeding shoulder, Sokka manages to take down the few that are remaining. He turns back to thank Naoki for the assist, but only then does he notice that he's not looking too good.]

Naoki? [He moves in close just in case he needs to catch him.] You okay there?

[Naoki waves a hand to indicate he's alright, managing to keep on his feet. He rubs at some bleeding places on his chest, grimacing a bit--going without a shirt has it's disadvantages.]

Just...kinda tired out.

[Sokka isn't convinced. And even with the healing Naoki gave him earlier, he isn't in much better shape.]

We can't keep fighting like this. Come on, let's get inside.

((ooc: You okay with a threadjacking from Nami?))

Inside...yeah, okay, sounds like a good idea. [He turns a little toward the building.]

(ooc: Yup! S'fine with me!)

[Satisfied with that, Sokka will lead them inside. And once he's in, he'll just find the nearest wall and at first lean against it, but ultimately slide down to the ground, leaving a bloody smear on the wall. Ugh, why did have to be so cold?]

At least this place is safe now.

Sokka...?

[Looking up from her own resting place much further in when she hears his voice. And she recognises Naoki from his various trips to the Straw Hat house.

...and you two are a mess. Scrabbling upright now.] Are you guys okay?

[Stupid questions 101?]

[Naoki's sunk down to sit on the floor, dripping both water and blood, leaning his head back against the wall. He blinks up at that voice, though, and offers a weak smile.]

Well...I think we've been better.

[Sokka glances up at Nami. Oh... that's right. He left her here, didn't he? He tries to match Naoki's resolve as much as he can with a weak attempt at humor.]
