[Sokka has been running around throughout this entire invasion of butterflies. Having finally caught a moments rest, he decides it's about time to organize things. There's not much time for complicated filters, so he makes this fast.]

Alright, White Lotus. Heads up. Everyone should already know what's going on, by now. Someone has been killed already, so we need to step things up. Right now the town square seems to be the worst place right now. There's not a lot of us though, so we should concentrate our efforts on the southern part of the village for now. Those things are everywhere though, so be sure you have someone watching your back.

This is Sokka, from the White Lotus. We're here to back you guys up. We'll take care of the southern part of the village with what we can. That should free you guys up to focus on the town square and the rest of the village.

[Sokka isn't convinced. And even with the healing Naoki gave him earlier, he isn't in much better shape.]

We can't keep fighting like this. Come on, let's get inside.

((ooc: You okay with a threadjacking from Nami?))

Inside...yeah, okay, sounds like a good idea. [He turns a little toward the building.]

(ooc: Yup! S'fine with me!)

[Satisfied with that, Sokka will lead them inside. And once he's in, he'll just find the nearest wall and at first lean against it, but ultimately slide down to the ground, leaving a bloody smear on the wall. Ugh, why did have to be so cold?]

At least this place is safe now.

Sokka...?

[Looking up from her own resting place much further in when she hears his voice. And she recognises Naoki from his various trips to the Straw Hat house.

...and you two are a mess. Scrabbling upright now.] Are you guys okay?

[Stupid questions 101?]

[Naoki's sunk down to sit on the floor, dripping both water and blood, leaning his head back against the wall. He blinks up at that voice, though, and offers a weak smile.]

Well...I think we've been better.

[Sokka glances up at Nami. Oh... that's right. He left her here, didn't he? He tries to match Naoki's resolve as much as he can with a weak attempt at humor.]

Did you bring meat?

Not so sure that's gonna help right now, unless your name is Luffy. [And moving over to them a little wearily; her own shirt is soaked through with blood in a few places now, but she's nowhere near as bad as some people she could mention. She'll grin back at Naoki for a second, then crouch down in front of them.] How bad is it?

Well... [Naoki shifts a little, as though to push himself upright and ends up just giving up with a sigh, pressing a hand against the bleeding spots on his chest.] I don't think I wanna move, so kinda bad.

The same as before. [He reaches towards his injured and bleeding shoulder with his good arm.] Well, worse than before.

[Pfft, Sokka.] All right. [Excuse her, Naoki; she doesn't know you very well, but it looks like you're the worst off here. Especially given how exhausted you look. And cold. So she's going to reach a hand for your chest before she hesitates.] Mind if I take a look? I can help.

[And to Sokka:] Though I don't suppose you know where Katara is, do you? She'd be better at this than I am.

[Naoki just smiles and nods his head a little, lowering his hand away from the bites.] Sure...thanks.

[Sokka is fine with waiting. He's still in too much of an adrenaline rush to even really realize how much all of this hurts.]

She was at building five, last I saw her. [And hopefully still fine. After all, Hugo and Longshot were in the area. Roku too.]

[Too far away. She can at least clean up the damage some. Sup, Naoki, just ...gonna plant her hands on your chest now. Gently. At least they're warm. She's getting better at this with practice; it won't take long for the pain to start easing as the wounds slowly close.]

What did you guys do, walk through a butterfly typhoon?

[Naoki closes his eyes after a moment, relaxing as the bite marks slowly heal and the pain ebbs.]

There were a lot outside when we got here.

And we had to set up the ward so they couldn't get in. [So they had to fight them off, regardless.]

[Switching patients, frowning a bit.] It hasn't been that long since I came inside. Must be something out there that's set them off. [...or someone exploding and releasing a whole new wave this way. Also, be healed Sokka. Just FYI. And feeling that a bit, she'll blink.]

How many were left when you came in?

[Picking her climatact off the ground now, but she doesn't look like she's ready to charge off. Snapping one section off the end of the staff and turning a lazy circle with it, eyes thoughtful. They can probably both feel a rush of heated air. May as well be warm while you rest, no?]

[Naoki opens his eyes with a grateful sound at that sudden warmth. He shifts to get more comfortable, blinking up at her and then looking at Sokka.]

I think we got all the ones left inside the ward, yeah?

[Ah, his third (or fourth?) healing today. Sokka is able to relax as he feels some of that pain go away. ]

We should have. There weren't that many on the outside either.

Good. You guys are a mess. You should head home. Think you can make it?

...I think so.

I'll be fine. [He's not rushing off just yet though. He still needs a breather, but after that, he's staying home.]

Heh. Well, get warm first.

[Which means she'll stay here long enough to provide a heat source instead of heading out again. And, y'know, just in case either of you fall asleep as you seem to threaten to be doing.]

Right... [He shifts; not in too much of a hurry, as the chance to rest for a few minutes is good.]

[Fall asleep? Naaaaah. Sokka wouldn't...

[Sheee probably should have expected that. Oh well, not like he's bleeding to death and it's reasonably safe here right now. Shifting to get comfortable herself. Might...pull her journal out and let Katara know where her wayward brother is in a moment, actually.]
