Sokka the 24th - [Action]

[Today Sokka has excused himself from work, because really, Edward is a frigging beast and he's not too happy about the new couch just yet, so hanging out here with nothing to do is kind of pointless. So today he's working hard on one of his other, more important projects. Namely, building a few more canoes, now that he's determined the prototype to be perfectly safe. So Sokka is over beside House 56 (facing House 57 and the road to the barracks), sawing the wood for the second canoe in his 'fleet'.

If you're one of the people who agreed to help him, feel free to already be there doing so. Or if you just happen to be out and about in this obscure part of Luceti, feel free to gawk.]

There's lakes n' stuff where I've been. 'course we didn't have no fancy rods or nothin'. It was easier huntin' rabbicats.

Yeah? Well I personally prefer spear fishing. But line fishing is a lot more relaxing.

Just tried picturin' you with a spear. Unless your skills have gotten better, I can't imagine you catchin' anything.

Shows how much you know. I did the bulk of the hunting for my tribe for two years. We never starved. [Sometimes they had to be happy with sea prunes instead of meat... but that wasn't too bad.]

I dunno, Sokka. Somethin' tells me your sister'd be a better hunter. What with the [makes a bunch of handmotions to mimic waterbending] and all. And this is comin' from a guy who can't do that either.

Hunting isn't just about being able to attack in some fancy way. You should know that. [It's seeing a cute cuddly seal, being able to sneak up on it, and then being willing to kill it and drag the carcass home.]

'course they would be! [There's a hint of pride in his tone.] We're all 'bout teamwork and takin' care of each other, but also able to fend for ourselves. It's just good to know the Fire Nation didn't catch 'em.
