Sokka the 24th - [Action]

[Today Sokka has excused himself from work, because really, Edward is a frigging beast and he's not too happy about the new couch just yet, so hanging out here with nothing to do is kind of pointless. So today he's working hard on one of his other, more important projects. Namely, building a few more canoes, now that he's determined the prototype to be perfectly safe. So Sokka is over beside House 56 (facing House 57 and the road to the barracks), sawing the wood for the second canoe in his 'fleet'.

If you're one of the people who agreed to help him, feel free to already be there doing so. Or if you just happen to be out and about in this obscure part of Luceti, feel free to gawk.]

[He nods, sipping the soda idly. He blinks though, looking at the drink curiously.] It tastes different from what I imagined.

[Hammer in hand, Sokka glances back.]

You've never had that before?

Not this flavor. I only had it once before. [Coming over to look and see what he can help with.] What should I do?

I never had it back home. Toph introduced me to it. [And he points to the saw and some wood.]

She's a friend of mine from Karaya. She's really nice, though she can be intense sometimes.

Aha! Is she your girlfriend?

[Dammit Sokka you do not say weird things like that while he's drinking! Hugo almost immediately spits the soda out, thankfully to the side instead of on the board, coughing afterward. Give him a moment... there.] W-what?! No way! [Have a displeased look, Sokka.]

[Sokka laughs at that. Oh Hugo, if only he knew it was this easy to unnerve you.]

So if she showed up here, it would be okay if I asked her out?

She'd probably hit you if you asked her upon arrival. [He... doesn't mind too much. Aila is like a sister to him, sure, but it wasn't like Sokka wasn't a decent guy.]

Hey, maybe we could name this one after her. Since you're working on it and all.

Are you sure? [He looks at it thoughtfully. It would be a nice reminder of home. Sort of.]

[He shrugs.] I probably would've named it after Suki instead, but then I would never be able to choose which canoe to use. This will make it easier for me.

Suki? [He looks at Sokka curiously.] A girlfriend too?

Yeah. She's my girlfriend back home. [A sigh.] And I haven't seen her in four months. [He glances over at Hugo.] Do you have anyone back home?
