APPEARANCE: Something like this. Notably Sokka is older looking, more muscular, wears his hair longer, has a braid on the right side of his face, and a bear. A full body image can be seen here of what he looks like Season One. He dresses more or less in the same manner still.
HEIGHT: 5'9, pushing towards 5'10 which is where he'll probably max out.
WEIGHT: Probably somewhere above 160 lbs. He's getting fairly muscular.
POSTURE: He tends to slouch a lot, though when he it comes down to business, he stands straight and tall.
VOICE: Like this! His voice voice is a little deeper now and he isn't quite so squeaky anymore.
ITEMS: Oh jeez. Sokka LOVES stuff. On an average day he'll have both his space sword and boomerang along his back, though sometimes he'll settle for just the boomerang. He also will usually carry around a bag full of various items outlined here.
PECULIARITIES: Well as Lucetians go, Sokka is a little darker skinned than most people in Luceti. For as laid back as he seems, he's kind of paranoid and is always prepared for trouble.

15 Facts Meme
So when Katara left to go get her revenge, he ultimately didn't stop her. After all, he likely realized she never quite got that closure, especially since she was so close to the action when it happened. So he didn't raise as many objections as he could have. But they did talk about it after the fact. The episode closes with Katara walking towards Sokka (and Appa). So things were discussed.
2. Going with the above, he never did find out that the raiders were looking for a waterbender and that's why their mother died. He didn't find out until Luceti, when AU!Katara's story made it painfully obvious what had happened. He doesn't hold it against Katara.
3. Sokka is something of a prodigy with untapped potential. Being in the isolated South Pole, he never really had much to work with and all his lessons came from Gran Gran, but he was very knowledgable about whatever scientific facts he could get. Unfortunately Sokka is very focused when it comes to learning. He only pays attention to things he think are beneficial to him, especially in a battle situation. If he learned for the sake of learning, he could be extremely intelligent.
4. He's also a quick study for combat. This is kind of a forced explanation for how Sokka goes from being rather incompetent at the beginning (save for with his boomerang) to being able to cut a soldier's spear down the middle in mid air with perfect precision, mere episodes after learning from Piandao (not to mention being able to beat Piandao's butler only a day or so into training). Learning a particular style is hard for him though, he's at his best at improvising in combat. He also excels at rematches, because once he learns an opponent's moves, he's able to counter them a lot better.
5. This was never said one way or another in the show, but Sokka receiving a White Lotus tile from Piandao makes him an initiate in the Order. Sokka is completely unaware of this, however.
6. Before the AU event, Sokka had been convinced he would want to be an Earthbender the most, because they have the most fun. However, a week of the Avatar and going around surfing on the water, he'd definitely pick Waterbending.
7. Although he's not as adamant as he was about it in Book One, Sokka still perceives himself as the 'leader' of Team Avatar, even though he realizes most of the time it's usually group decisions that lead the way. He's not very good at being the responsible, mature one though. He does have his moments (especially shown in The Runaway with Toph), so he ends up being the one who keeps the group motivated either by being demanding (like with his schedule in The Painted Lady) or just by being a goof that keeps things interesting (as seen when he isn't around the group in Sokka's Master).
8. Sokka's guilt over failing Yue is one of the reasons he has his so-called 'harem' in Luceti. He's just ridiculously protective of girls and there seems to be a lot around that aren't quite as badass as the ones in his universe (but between Toph, Azula, Katara, and Suki... yeah)
9. Yue was definitely his first girlfriend, but probably not his first crush. There's other villages in the Southern Tribe. Before his dad left for the war, Sokka would sometimes visit those villages and probably had a few boyish crushes on some pretty girls his age. But once Hakoda and the men were gone, his village became isolated and he never had a chance to visit again.
10. When he and Katara were children, their dad owned a pet Polar Bear Dog that used to be part of his old sledding team. His name was Tuyok and he died when Sokka was seven.
11. Their mother used to sing to them as children and had a beautiful singing voice. Unknown to either sibling, Sokka is the one who inherited her singing voice. He is completely unaware of this, since he generally doesn't sing except for sometimes in the shower.
12. Sokka really does think his art is good. He just believes he has his own special, unique style that no one else appreciates.
13. He really struggles with his identity as a warrior. Following Sokka's Master, he had dealt with his 'Bending Envy' and began to appreciate his own value to his friends, even if he couldn't always keep up with them. Luceti was a great smack in the face for him when he met so many people who had special abilities that surpassed anything he could ever achieve. Although it's made him train all the harder, he realizes that ultimately he can never 'catch up' with everyone else. He won't admit it, but this is something that really bugs him.
14. Bloodbending is scary. Still, he doesn't worry about Katara ever using it against him. Besides, the Full Moon holds a lot more significance to him, because of Yue. The fact Katara is powered up during that time doesn't really register.
15. From the ages ten to thirteen, Sokka accompanied the hunters of his tribe, which is where he learned all his wilderness skills. Some hunting expeditions would have them leave the village for weeks at a time, either traveling further into the ice to pursue the herds or going out on fishing or whaling trips. During those times, he could see the Southern Lights far clearer than they could in the village. Also of note, his first two months in Luceti were the longest time he and Katara had ever been apart. Of course, all these hunting expeditions stopped when Hakoda and the men left for war.
Daily Life Meme (April 25th, '12)
2) Weight: About 170 lbs
3) Eye color/Hair Color: Blue eyes with brown hair.
4) Age: 18 years old. (He arrived in Luceti a few months shy of 16)
5) Physical features: Sokka is a little more mature and sturdier than his icons indicate. This is a good idea of what he looks like in-game now.
6) Voice: Have some voice clips. Now that he's older, his voice is a little deeper and he doesn't go as high pitched anymore.
7) Who do they live with and how are chores divided in their house/apartment?:
Right now he lives with Katara, Suki, Zuko, and Aang. Inevitably Katara ends up doing a lot of the cleaning up, but Sokka has got into the habit of doing stuff too. Since he doesn't cook, he's often the one doing after-dinner dishes. He's also the sort of 'handyman' of the house for when things break and need fixing.
8) Their favorite (and least favorite, if you want) foods and who does the cooking in their house/apartment?:
Sokka loves meat, especially if it's spicy. He also enjoys baked goods, but doesn't like things that are too sweet. Vegetables are okay with him, but not his favorite. Steak is his favorite meal. Usually Katara cooks and Zuko sometimes helps out. Sokka is known to cook up some bacon, steaks, or whatever else if he's in the mood. He knows how to cook meat, at least.
9) What they do during an average day in Luceti:
Actually I am lame and gave him a vague sort of shedule. In general he spends his time at the smithy tinkering with stuff, or with his nose stuck in a technical or scientific book, or just generally goofing off and hanging out.
10) Their general sense of fashion:
Sokka still prefers the standard Water Tribe tunic (like this) since he does like to go sleeveless (especially now that he's getting muscular!). He usually gets his tunics made by Shiki now, even though she tries to push him to change the style a little bit. He's a little more open to other stuff these days. He's started to get used to the idea of blue jeans (it helps that they are blue!) and since he outgrew his boots from home, he'll wear boots of a more modern style. He still won't wear just regular shoes, though. He likes his boots. In the summer he might switch to sandals on a particularly hot day.
Right now where it's kind of cool out, he'll wear this flannel jacket that Buffy gave him. During a particularly bright day, he'll sometimes sport these cool shades, also a gift from Buffy. He generally trusts her sense of fashion.
11) Do they have any hobbies? Did they come up with these hobbies in Luceti, or was it something they always did?:
Sokka has grown to become pretty work-oriented in terms of training, working, and self-improvement. Which makes him appreciate his goof off time even more. This will generally be stuff like fishing, hunting, tinkering with stuff in his basement, trying to teach tricks to Momo and Hawky, or collecting cool weapons. He also enjoys coming up with new puns.
12) Has the situation in Luceti changed their view on certain topics/the way they react to different things?:
Sokka has mellowed out thanks to his time in Luceti. He's not as spastic, he's not as negative, and he's a whole lot more tolerant of things that don't fit into his notion of what the world is like. That's not to say he isn't critical of things that seem logical or stupid, but he'll usually just drop the matter instead of exasperating it by complaining about it. He's more confident and secure with himself, having overcome a lot of his self doubts about being a leader or a non-bender. He's also a lot less lazy now. Even though he can still be pretty lazy sometimes.
13) Do they have a weapon? If so, do they carry it at all times or just under certain circumstances?:
Sokka's primary weapons are his Space Sword and his Boomerang. In general he carries them around almost all the time, though sometimes he'll leave his sword sitting somewhere inside the house or smithy if he's just staying around the building. Aside from that, he has a few knives he'll always keep on his person and a bag of bombs that he sometimes keeps on him. During drafts he also has a small axe that has a lightning crest attached to it, thus earning him the name "Thunderaxe".
14) Who are their neighbors?:
Across the path is House 51 and 52. Those house Valvalvis and Neliel in 51 and Mithos and Martel in 52 (unless that's changed?). To the south is House 57, with Tony Stark. Sokka has met Tony, but in general he doesn't know his neighbors much at all.
15) Who are their best friends in Luceti? How often do they spend time with them and doing what?
Outside of his housemates, his best friend in Luceti is Winry. They work together and generally end up spending a lot of time together at the smithy and sometimes out it as well. He's also a lot closer to Buffy and they usually end up socializing over the journals or spontaneously meeting up, though Sokka will usually visit her at Good Spirits when she's at work. Shiki and Fenimore are both close friends and ones he will generally visit at their usual haunts and they will often track him down at the smithy.
16) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?:
Sokka works at the smithy and it's his favorite place to be, since it's his place and it's where he can feel the most knowledgable and useful. And he likes the couch there a lot. He'll spend time there even if he doesn't have stuff he's working with. Besides that, he will go to Good Spirits to talk to Buffy or All Passions to peruse the clothes and bother Shiki. He spends time in the library reading alchemy books or books about science or 'how to' guides. He likes to spend time by the ocean or the river, maintaining his boats too.
17) Wing color and how do they deal with their wings?:
Sokka has made holes in his tunics for them to slip through, but he'll wear a jacket or coat or armor over them at other times. But on a normal day, his wings are out for all to see.
18) Did they change or grow in any way physically since coming to Luceti?:
Sokka has grown about four inches, built up a lot of muscle due to his sword training and work at the smithy, grown out his hair a little longer (he now wears a braid with a bead his sister made for him), and has grown a small beard.
19) What do they miss the most from home?:
Family. Sokka misses his dad so much. It bothers him a lot that they finally got their dad back at the end of the war and that he's now spent ANOTHER two years without him.
20) What does their handwriting look like? Do they write the way they talk, or is there a clear difference between the two?:
Sokka's handwriting is pretty messy, but it's gotten better than it was. His writing is pretty similar to how he talks, but he avoids writing if he can.
21) Is the way they act in person different from the way they act over the journal system?:
He's a little more confident and relaxed in voice. In person, he's prone to being more spastic and nervous on uncomfortable subjects.
22) Did they gain/lose any personal goals during their stay in Luceti?:
One major shift for him was the change in his approach to being a warrior. Although it was important to him at home, he hit a major turning point in a misunderstanding with Sanji about how he stacked up to Katara (and just about everyone else in Luceti). As a result he spends more time than he ever did finding ways to make himself better, whether it's just training, devising new weapons, learning alchemy, or integrating Filial magic with his own style.
Also now that he's engaged, he's gained the personal goal of... well, being married eventually. Staying true and all that.
23) Is Luceti a technological upgrade, or downgrade for them? Have they adapted to these changes well?:
Upgrade. And he LOVES it so much. He's acclimated to everything very quickly by finding out how things work and in cases of stuff he can get from the store, taking them apart and trying to put them back together. As much as it interests him, it's kind of killed his penchant for inventions. Everything he's ever done or could do has already been invented. So rather than an inventor, he's more of a mechanic these days and has gained a penchant for repairing or building things.
24) FOR STUDENTS: What is their favorite class? What is their least favorite class? What about their general behavior in school?:
Science. He also likes math for the sheer logic behind it. He dislikes World Sharing, because most worlds are just nonsensical and he's not all that interested in them... He pays attention in class, more so than he used to, but he still doesn't do his homework. He only attends the first half of classes before lunch and intends to stop going (except to specialty classes) after this school year ends.
25) FOR DRINKERS: What is their favorite drink? What is their least favorite drink? Do they prefer Good Spirits or Cloud Nine? What's their attitude about and while drinking?:
Sokka doesn't drink. Much. Unless talked into it. He likes bubbly juicy drinks though. And he prefers Good Spirits. But he and Suki are known to go on dates to Cloud Nine. In general he's not big on drinking, since he doesn't find it very tasty.
26) Do they have any special talents? If so, what are they?:
Hunting, fishing, smithing, construction... he's handier than he realizes, despite his lack of special powers. He doesn't tend to realize how talented he is because he ends up getting fixated on things he's not good at, like art and cooking.
27) Have they learned any new skills or abilities in Luceti? If so, what are they? Why and how?
Sokka has vastly improved his skills in smithing and metallurgy since learning from Piandao. He's picked up Tennen Rishin style from training with Okita Souji and is a very competent swordsman now. Also he has begun learning alchemy from Edward Elric, but still can only do simple transmutations and only if he has lots of reference materials on hand.
28) What kind of habits do they have on drafts? Are they willing to kill or do they prefer to avoid fighting?
Sokka will usually fight with 'Team Avatar', whoever might happen to be with him. He usually will try to stay in a defensive position where he can help the most people, usually helping out in a strategic role by overseeing things and coordinating with other groups. Although he dislikes killing, he's come to accept it as a part of life in Luceti.
29) What kind of habits do they have on missions? What is their reason for going on them? What do they intend to use their points for?
Sokka isn't big on taking combat missions and if he does, he doesn't go for war zones. He'd rather do something more constructive than killing cultists. He keeps getting called to do missions aroud the Farmlands, much to his annoyance. Originally he started going on missions to earn enough points to get the Barcode-hiding Adhesive so Yue could be exempt from a draft, but now he just generally is saving up his points for anything he might need. He goes on missions mostly to get perspective on the outside world.
30) How long have they been in Luceti? Has that length of time impacted them in any way?:
Two years. For the most part, he's started to think of Luceti as 'home' and in a sense, come to terms with the fact that they could be there for a very long time (talking to people on missions has really solidified that idea too). Although he tries to stay optimistic about one day escaping and being home, he's developed a sort of defeatist attitude about the whole thing.
31) How do they unwind and get back to normal after a brutal experiment, event, or draft?
He sort of internalizes it and tries not to let it bother him. He tries to take it in stride. In the event of particularly harsh experiences, he may take some time to himself by camping in the forest, going on a mission, or burying himself in work. If he's really bothered by it, he'll be pretty obvious with it in the way he becomes serious and cold.
32) What is their worst experience from an experiment or kidnapping? Were there any that they actually liked?
Aside from spending a month body swapped with Haruhi (which wasn't due to the above), his most humiliating was being turned into a nine year old, but without mentally regressing to being nine. Both times he fell in love (with Toph and then Fenimore) really bothered him a lot afterward.
He actually really liked being given super strength though. That was an awesome kidnapping effect.
Plurk Headcanon
Being from the South Pole, Sokka never really got to try candy much until he went to Omashu. He sort of liked the rock candy, even if it did nearly kill him by covering his body entirely. But in general, Sokka has a pretty mild sweet tooth, because he's just not used to it. So in Luceti he rarely indulges in sweets and finds hard candy to be kind of gross. He does like chocolate though.
Sokka + Heat
So not his favorite thing, but working next to a furnace for over two years now has made it so he has a pretty good tolerance for it. He works up a sweat and he looks good doing it! But he'd rather have the cold than the heat, when it comes to the weather. Especially in Luceti, where the winter months are like a nice reminder of home.
Sokka + Hair
Sokka's hair, for him, is a cultural thing that projects hid pride in the Water Tribe and as a warrior. He used to take a lot of care and consideration in keeping it shaved and well maintained. He decided to grow it out in Luceti when Katara gave him a hair bead identical to the one Hakoda wears on his sixteenth birthday. It took awhile, but after about a year and a half he had grown his hair out long enough to keep a strand aside for braiding and beading. He's let the rest of his hair grow mostly because of Hakoda's continued absence and its kind of a way of keeping him around. If not for that, Sokka would have gone back to shaving the sides and back again (as he does in canon).

Right now he lives in Avatar House with the ever-growing 'gang'. Inevitably Katara ends up doing a lot of the cleaning up, but Sokka has got into the habit of doing stuff too. Since he doesn't cook, he's often the one doing after-dinner dishes. He's also the sort of 'handyman' of the house for when things break and need fixing.

Oh and he lost his soul and became a complete jackass.
During drafts he also has a small axe that has a lightning crest attached to it, thus earning him the name "Thunderaxe".
14) Do they have any pets? Would these pets be at their homes, or do they hang out with the character in question?:
Foo Foo Cuddlypoops - a Saber-Tooth Moose Lion that he received as a Christmas present last year. It’s nearly a year old now, so it’s about the size of a medium-sized dog now and its horns are a bit bigger now. Sokka dislikes the cutesy name he originally gave it, so he usually just calls it ‘Foo’ around most people. The little creature is playful and fairly intelligent. He’s trying to train it to be an attack animal, but it seems to be more interested in being cuddly. When it’s full grown it’ll be quite large, but it won’t reach that size until it’s five years old.
15) Who are their neighbors?: House 51, 52, and 57. This largely consists of the Zombie Run! cast (and friends) and Mithos.
16) Who are their best friends in Luceti? How often do they spend time with them and doing what?
Sokka used to have some pretty awesome friends! Not so much these days.
Normally, however, Sokka can count Winry and Edward as among his best friends. He’s close to his housemates, most notably Aang and his own sister. He has other friends like Fenimore, Buffy, and Katniss that he enjoys spending time with. With most of his friends it’s usually just hanging out and talking. With Buffy he visits her at the bar to chat about whatever comes to mind, whereas he and Katniss will go hunting together.
17) On the flip side, is there anyone they actively don’t get along with? How do they interact, and would people know about this?
Due to his current status, he doesn’t get along with a lot of people. Things are particularly frosty with him and Winry, Edward, Korra, Sheena, and especially Suki.
18) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?:
Sokka works at the smithy and it's his favorite place to be, since it's his place and it's where he can feel the most knowledgable and useful. And he likes the couch there a lot. He'll spend time there even if he doesn't have stuff he's working with. Besides that, he will go to Good Spirits to talk to Buffy. He spends time in the library reading alchemy books or books about science or 'how to' guides. He likes to spend time by the ocean or the river, maintaining his boats too.
19) Do they belong to any clubs or organizations? Which ones? Do they go regularly, or just occasionally?
Sokka is a member of Brave Vesperia and technically a co-leader along with Luke and Emil, though his participation in the group has become essentially nonexistent since he gained his death penalty.
20) Wing color and how do they deal with their wings?:
Sokka has made holes in his tunics for them to slip through, but he'll wear a jacket or coat or armor over them at other times. But on a normal day, his wings are out for all to see.
21) Did they change or grow in any way physically since coming to Luceti?:
Sokka has grown about four five , built up a lot of muscle due to his sword training and work at the smithy, grown out his hair a little longer (he now wears a braid with a bead his sister made for him), and has grown a small beard. He’s gained a lot of scars due to accidents or from battle. His most noticeable one is a large scar on his left side from where a Shift Hunter bit him.
Recently he acquired a special Shift that has increased his physical abilities by fifty percent, making him stronger and faster than he normally should be. It’s usually not noticeable, though on drafts it makes him instantly noticeable to Shift Hunters.
22) What do they miss the most from home?:
Family. Sokka misses his dad so much. It bothers him a lot that they finally got their dad back at the end of the war and that he's now spent ANOTHER three years without him.
23) What does their handwriting look like? Do they write the way they talk, or is there a clear difference between the two?:
His handwriting used to be messy, but its steadily improved since he started learning alchemy and had to start making extensive notes. But he’s also just as likely to write in scrawl that only he has any success reading.
24) Is the way they act in person different from the way they act over the journal system?:
He’s more or less the same, though he’s a little harsher and meaner on the journals just because he can get away with it.
25) Did they gain/lose any personal goals during their stay in Luceti?:
One major shift for him was the change in his approach to being a warrior. Although it was important to him at home, he hit a major turning point in a misunderstanding with Sanji about how he stacked up to Katara (and just about everyone else in Luceti). As a result he spends more time than he ever did finding ways to make himself better, whether it's just training, devising new weapons, learning alchemy, or integrating Filial magic with his own style.
His desire to return home has continuously diminished and now with his death penalty, he has absolutely no desire to ever go back to his own world.
26) Is Luceti a technological upgrade, or downgrade for them? Have they adapted to these changes well?:
Upgrade. And he LOVES it so much. He's acclimated to everything very quickly by finding out how things work and in cases of stuff he can get from the store, taking them apart and trying to put them back together. As much as it interests him, it's kind of killed his penchant for inventions. Everything he's ever done or could do has already been invented. So rather than an inventor, he's more of a mechanic these days and has gained a penchant for repairing or building things.
27) FOR STUDENTS: What is their favorite class? What is their least favorite class? What about their general behavior in school?:
Sokka stopped attending school last year. He used to pitch in as a tutor, but has since stopped doing that.
28) FOR DRINKERS: What is their favorite drink? What is their least favorite drink? Do they prefer Good Spirits or Cloud Nine? What's their attitude about and while drinking?:
Before his death penalty, he was drinking more, having moved on from fruity beverages to beer. Nowadays he partakes in the fruity stuff still, but only for the taste.
29) Do they have any special talents? If so, what are they?:
Hunting, fishing, smithing, construction... he's handier than he realizes, despite his lack of special powers. In general, Sokka is a craftsman at heart. He doesn't tend to realize how talented he is because he ends up getting fixated on things he's not good at, like art and cooking.
30) Have they learned any new skills or abilities in Luceti? If so, what are they? Why and how?
Sokka has vastly improved his skills in smithing and metallurgy since learning from Piandao. He's picked up Tennen Rishin style from training with Okita Souji and is a very competent swordsman now. Also he has been learning alchemy from Edward Elric and has reached a point where he can create his own alchemy circles, though he isn’t able to come up with new ones on the fly or use it in combat like a more experienced alchemist.
31) What kind of habits do they have on drafts? Are they willing to kill or do they prefer to avoid fighting?
Sokka will usually fight with 'Team Avatar', whoever might happen to be with him. He usually will try to stay in a defensive position where he can help the most people, usually helping out in a strategic role by overseeing things and coordinating with other groups. Although he dislikes killing, he's come to accept it as a part of life in Luceti.
Due to his death penalty, Sokka has adopted a merciless attitude and shows no remorse when dealing with cultists and uses any method at his disposal to kill them, no matter how cruel or gory it might be.
32) What kind of habits do they have on missions? What is their reason for going on them? What do they intend to use their points for?
Sokka tends to go on missions quite a bit and will usually go for whatever’s made available to him. He places no preference on combat missions, as he much prefers to take safer tasks given his close brushes with death in the past. Largely he goes on missions to get a glimpse of the outside world, but largely these days it’s just to accumulate points for his own personal use.
33) How long have they been in Luceti? Has that length of time impacted them in any way?:
Three years. For the most part, he's started to think of Luceti as 'home' and in a sense, come to terms with the fact that they could be there for a very long time (talking to people on missions has really solidified that idea too). He tends to consider his chances of ever going home to be pretty small and comes to expect that most of the people he know won’t stick around for long.
34) How do they unwind and get back to normal after a brutal experiment, event, or draft?
He sort of internalizes it and tries not to let it bother him. He tries to take it in stride. In the event of particularly harsh experiences, he may take some time to himself by camping in the forest, going on a mission, or burying himself in work. If he's really bothered by it, he'll be pretty obvious with it in the way he becomes serious and cold. He had started to drink to help cope, but these days his death penalty means he doesn’t get bothered by them at all.
35) What is their worst experience from an experiment or kidnapping? Were there any that they actually liked?
The worst is both times he was ‘Avatar Sokka’. Though it came with some cool powers, it came with a mess of memories he didn’t want. His second time as the ‘Avatar’ came with some painful memories of his entire family dying, which he still hasn’t shaken.
He really enjoyed the few months he had super powers.
