[Early Valentine's morning before the sun is even up, Sokka will be sneaking about through town leaving some presents on the doorsteps of a select group of people. Under the mistaken belief he has to get all the girls he knows something for this very, very tedious holiday, Sokka has gone out on deliveries. He'll be knocking on the doors of the houses and apartments belonging to Nami, Winry, Anise, Mayoi, Paru, and Charlotte.

He'll be long gone before they (or their housemate?) answers, but what they'll find is a basket full of assorted chocolates and other candy. A card accompanies it with an extremely crude drawing of the person in question (interpret it as you will) with the message "Valentines !" on top and "Sokka" written on the back. Toph and Katara will both find the same thing left in their rooms as well. Zuko will receive nothing.]

((ooc: Feel free to get a hold of Sokka however you please. You can call him out on voice, written, or go knocking down the door of his house to demand an explanation.))

[Very dramatically.] She's a highly trained warrior, skilled in stealth, and the use of fans as weapons. [And a little goofy.] And she thinks I'm funny.

[A stupid grin.] I am pretty lucky. But what about you? Are you sure there's no one back home?

[Aww, it looked like she was going to tell. He won't pry.] Hey, friends is a good place to start! Give it time. I mean, when you get back home. I don't think giving it time helps here.

Well then, since we're both single this supposedly important holiday... [Sokka gets up, takes his bowl back to the kitchen. He returns a bit later with two glasses of orange juice.] We can share this drink together. For the people back home.

[Sokka takes a drink and makes a face afterwards.] Bleh! Note to self. Five spoons of sugar is too much for cereal. Especially with orange juice afterwards.

You should probably stop at two or three.

Probably a good idea. [He'll wait to finish his for a little while.] If you don't mind my asking, what do you do to keep busy around here?

I usually stay inside or go to the library. Sometimes I visit the forest. I draw up blueprints, read up on different kinds of prosthetic work, and for the forest... It's a pretty scenery.

The forest is nice. I've hiked down to the lake a few times, but not in the last few weeks. [But he tries to change the subject to what he's really getting at.] I suppose you wouldn't know anyone with any knowledge of metallurgy, huh?

I do. Well, I have to because of the automail I work with. Why do you ask?

Well, I'm not sure you'd be interested, but like I told you the other day, my old boss at the smithy went home, so....

What, are you lonely?

No, it's not that! [Although the company was nice...] Busy mostly. With the whole barricade problem, my sister doesn't like one of our housemates, Toph is putting together this group to fight bad guys, and I told Professor Raine I'd be coming to some classes. With all that and the smithy, I have very little time for the time wasting nonsense I've grown to love.

[He catches that sigh. Perhaps this was a bad idea.] You don't have to do it, though. Not even all the time. Maybe until the barricade is finished, at least.

No, no. It's not that. I just-- I hate this cold. And I don't wake up very early. Though I don't mind being there.

I rarely ever get up this early. Besides, the smithy is the warmest place in town.

But I have to go outside to get to it.

This will be good for you. There's nothing like a little fresh air. The best part is? Come lunch time, you can just pop over to Seventh Heaven and get something to eat. Sure, that's too much trouble if you're back home, but it's great when you're already at the market.
