[One wild party later, Sokka is back in the plaza again. He isn't looking for meat or even for some fine leather jackets (sorry Threepwood), but is instead perusing the clothing store. In fact, let's say its even the one with a name, All Passions. Today he is in the market for materials he'll be needing for a certain disguise he needs to put together. Something long, bristly, and vaguely beard-like. Not suspicious at all.]

[A certain Air Pirate Captain just happens to be out as well. He's still limping somewhat, but hey, that's not stopping him from seeking out fresh air. He pauses when he spots Sokka and squints for a moment. Then, a grin spreads across his face.]

Hey, Sokka!

[He recognizes the name but not the face. Okay...] Hello... strange... one eyed guy I don't know.

[And you know who likes to hang out on the roof of buildings? This guy? And you know what else he's doing? Eating ramen. Thus, eating ramen on the roof of All Passions, sitting on the edge there looking down as Sokka enters the general area]

Vyse. It's Vyse. You don't remember me, huh?

I think I'd remember someone like you. [He rubs his chin thoughtfully.] Are you a fan from back home? Earth Kingdom maybe? I did do some pretty heroic acts back there, I'm not going to lie.

[Having finished his shopping, Sokka is just about ready to head back home to finish his disguise. He remains oblivious to the fact that he is being spied on.]

Actually, we met when you were here before. That was a pretty long time ago.

Oh... yeah, I've heard that I was here once. I don't remember it though. Were we friends?

[There's a small pause here. Well, what happened around Valentine's Day was really the Malnosso's fault. Outside that experiment, they were still buddies. Buddies with no romantic feelings for each other whatsoever.]

Yeah. You used to tell me all about your friend the uhm... Avatar, and how you were going to bring down the Fire Nation.

[Old friends, huh?] Well my friend is the Avatar and we already took down the Fire Nation. Close enough, though!

Do you know if any of my other friends were here last time I was, uh, around? Someone mentioned my sister once, but...

Aang was around for a while. I remember him using Earth bending to build a couple of slides near the mountain range. And that Prince from the Fire Nation, Suko or Zuko... I forgot his name, but he was in charge of the tea shop for a pretty long time. I think his sister was around too.

No Suki, huh? [Then it occurs to him.] I didn't do anything... stupid last time I was here, right? And I don't mean just clumsy, target of the universe kind of stupid. I mean... real stupid.

[Sokka, why do you have to ask these things. Vyse gives a somewhat nervous smile, rubbing the back of his head.]

No more stupid than everyone else here. Those experiments can get pretty crazy.

Any kind of experiment. The Malnosso can affect your appearance, your personality... [S-sexual preference...]

I just want to know if I did anything that would have, you know, betrayed Suki in some way. If I hadn't even beaten the Fire Nation last time you saw me, then maybe Suki was still in that prison... and back then, there were times I thought she might have been gone for good.

Oh, right. She's my girlfriend.

Well that's a relief! I was kind of worried that with all these people recognizing me, I'd have some girlfriend I had never met popping up out of somewhere. Wouldn't that be weird?
