[He waits up top until the bikini wearing droid (who does no the curves for that suit) signals he can go. He then slides on down. Wow, these slides are so much more awesome than the rock ones that Toph would make for them.]

[She's waiting in the pool at the bottom of the slide, sitting on the side with her legs in the water. She watches Sokka come zipping down through the slide and leans forward to wait for him to come out the bottom. The slide itself? Not bad. She was pretty happy with it, but her goal at the moment is to make Sokka loosen up. His reaction is the most important.]

[Oh, Sokka has a HUGE grin when he reaches the bottom and splashes. He gets to his feet, still smirking.]

Nice. Next slide?

[All the happiness? There is happiness. Win.] Knew you'd like it. I still think we should go to the doubles. I bet I can reach the bottom faster than you.

[If he only knew that's all she wanted, he could have cheered her up with his infamous puns.]

That'll depend on whether or not they are the same length and send people at the same velocity. It's not really fair if one has an advantage over the other. [... okay too technical. He starts heading towards the slide anyway.] But I'll probably win anyway.

[Well it would have at least proved that he was still a kid somewhere in there.]

Stop talking. [She means with the logic. She'll pull her legs from the water and get to her feet, following again.] And no way. I don't settle for losing.

[Okay, yes, he deserves that for the chattering. Once she's following, he picks up the pace again.]

I'm pretty sure I got to the top of the slide before you.

That sounds like a challenge. [Upping her own pace, just a little.]

You can consider it whatever you want. I'm just pretty confident in my water sliding... skills. [Does it count as a skill?]

You're kind of confident in a lot of things, aren't you?

Confidence is key, Shiki. If you don't have that, you can't be good at anything.

So I've noticed. At least I'm good at something. [It's an offhanded comment though and she immediately brushes it off.] Look's like the line's still pretty short.

[He gives her a quizzical look, wondering what she meant by that. Was that a subtle put down of herself?] There's less people than the first day. That's something at least.

[Yeah, those happen still. Even after 2+ years in Luceti and winning the Game, it still happens from time to time.] Guess everybody found their favorite things and decided to stick with them. That just makes it better for us.

[He'd probably have something to say about that, but not today. It's sort of lost in all the excitement.] Personally? I blame the hotel. The rooms have their own hot tubs. Personal hot tubs. It's like the hot springs, but with room service!

It's almost tempting to stay there all day...have you even been out to the hot springs yet? [She's asking as they approach the stairs to climb up to the top of the duel slides.]

Not lately. [He shrugs.] Maybe I'll take Suki up there once all this is gone.

Tell me how it is. Haruhi's been up there before but you know...I like getting other opinions.

Have you ever told me how long you've been with Suki?

It's fine. Especially in the summer. The air is pretty cool up there, at least until you get near the springs. [A shrug.] Just go with Haruhi sometime. [Because he totally won't regret suggesting that.]

Me and Suki's been together in Luceti for almost a year. In fact, we're about a week shy of it. Before that we had a few months together back home.

[Hmm...] Yeah? Maybe I'll get her to go with me after this gets old. Neku can come too, I guess.

...that's really cute. [Relationships are a huge thing okay. She's nosy about them and she tries to butt in everywhere.] Let me guess, you met her because you were acting as the traveling babysitter?

[He's not sure how it's cute, it's just what happened.]

It doesn't sound as cool when you call it babysitting. But yes. Her island was one of our first stops, actually.

I'm just calling it like I see it, Sokka. So did she end up going with you guys after you stopped there?

Nah, she stayed on the island. For awhile anyway. We kind of got separated. Firebenders came looking for Aang, we had to draw them away. So... it was a few months before we saw each other again.

[And hey, they're at the top now. Sokka is ready to go down at anytime, but he's willing to wait if Shiki really wants the full scoop.]

You'll have to tell me the rest of the romantic story later...like at the bottom. [She's approaching her own slide.] I think it's time for me to beat you at some racing. Ready?
