Sokka the 59th - [Action/Written]

[Today a not-so-unfamiliar face returns to Luceti. He is by no means happy about being here, stuck as he in a pair of New Feather pants. His old stuff? Doesn't quite fit. After all, it was clothes for a seventeen year old, not a nine year old. Maybe this 'little kid' would be happier about this if not for the fact he wasn't a mere four foot six just a week ago. He wears the indignant face of someone not at all content about being so short. He is not a happy little kid.

After waking up behind one of the stores, he goes to the clothing store first to put something on, going to the oft-neglected kid's section of the store. As it turns out, there's not many little boys in Luceti. At least not his current age. Refusing to wear girl clothing, he opts for an oversized tunic and pair of shorts that he secures with a belt. It looks even more ridiculous than the alternative. After that, he'll be on his way to House 56. After letting his housemates know he is home (and finding out about a new arrival), he decides that a mallynapping isn't going to stop him, so he heads to the smithy later to try and get work done. He may drop in on school for at least one class today, because he's trying his best to pretend this is all normal.

At some point in the day he leaves a written message, cautious to keep away from the view screen.]

Sokka here. I'm back from another kidnapping. So if you need anything at the smithy or anything, let me know. I'll get it done.

[Suki's cleaning up her room when Sokka comes home, so she's oblivious and sort of lost in the job- she sort of got distracted while cleaning and carefully maintaining the original Avatar Kyoshi uniform hanging on the wall in her room.]

[Like being a little kid is gonna stop him from seeing his girlfriend. Clearly she'll be the one person not to give him a hard time, right?

So he gives a knock knock on her door.]

[She's so lost in the moment that the knock makes her jump, nearly dropping Kyoshi's massive boot. Hastily she catches it, dusting it off before responding.]

Ah- ...come in!

[He blinks at the boot. Where did she get an Avatar Kyoshi uniform.]

... hey Suki.

[Wh... a little kid's voice? Suki glances back and very nearly drops the boot again. He's tiny again?]

Sokka!?

[... well, he should expect that. He puts on a forced smile.]

Yeah. It's me. Surprised?

...Very. [Well, at least he seems like himself- he actually remembers who she is, for one. She sets aside the boot, walking over to him- then, as an afterthought, crouches down to be more at his eye level.

.......h-he's so cute.]

Are you okay, besides... [The obvious?]

[... man, how humiliating. His girlfriend has to crouch to be eye level.]

A little tired, but uh... I'm one piece? One smaller piece, anyway.

[....Yep. So cute. But more than that- he's back, and he's safe. So she tugs him closer for a tight hug.]

I'm glad you're back...

[Whoa. Okay, now this is weird. He's kind of trapped in an awkward tight hug. But eventually he just goes with it and returns the hug, as much as he can, anyway.]

Uh, yeah. Me too.

[Suki tries not to hold on to him too long- it's probably awkward for him to be like this, after all. When she finally tugs back, she keeps her hands on his shoulders for a bit, studying him curiously.]

How in the world did you end up keeping your memories this time?

[It really is awkward to have her, well, that much bigger than him. So far it's turning out to be even harder to pretend things are normal with her.]

No idea. Right now? I'm not sure if it's a good thing or not. [It might be easier to be a kid and just... think he is one.]

I guess the good part is that we don't have to explain everything to you, and... you know us. [She's getting kind of tired of being forgotten, even if it's only been a couple of times. Selfishly, it's nice to have him know who she is.] I hope it doesn't last long, at least.

Yeah, me too. [And then... he smiles and rests his forehead against hers. It's incredibly naive what he's thinking, but it doesn't have to be different, right? It's still him inside. And there's that kind of grin the precedes a kiss.] But hey, it won't be so bad if you're here.

[Well... this is okay. It's nice to be with him again, and talk to him again, even if his size and voice are pretty different. At least it's still Sokka, though, right? So she's content.] I'm not going anywhere.

[And he tries to go in for a kiss, hoping she won't find this incredibly weird and wrong.]

[Oh honey, that is incredibly weird and wrong. After the initial blink of surprise, she gently lifts her hand to touch it to his lips, smiling weakly and shaking her head.]

Sokka, that's a little... you know...

[What are you, five? She loves you and all but noooo.]

[... he should have known better. He draws back and stares at the floor.]

Right... yeah, sorry. That's weird isn't it? I should... go check on Hawky. [He turns to do that, so this doesn't make it any worse than it already is.]

[....Oh gosh, he just looks so pitiful like that, she wants to hug him again. Instead she takes his hand, though, tugging gently to hold him back.]

Sokka, wait... you know it's not that I don't want to be around you.

[She feels badly, but... she can't kiss a little kid, geez.]

[He stops, but doesn't exactly look back, bowing his head instead.]

I know. But it's not exactly the same. I mean... look at me. I can't even reach any of the top shelves.

We all need help sometimes, Sokka. I know it must be hard, but... can't you rely on the rest of us for a little while?

[That sort of puts it into a different perspective than how he'd been looking at it. He glances back.]

[Hey, that's better! She offers him another smile, tugging him over.]

It's just kissing, anyway. I'm fine with hugs and everything else.

[Well it's not like he has much choice, does he?]

Right. Besides... we can do stuff that doesn't involve kissing. [Right? Of course. A couple doesn't need kissing to have a good time.]

I'm sure we'll think of something, especially with your head intact. [A bit of ego-stroking might go a long way with Sokka like this.]
