[Sokka has some messages to knock out of the way. He doesn't bother with a filter for the first one, mainly because he feels like being somewhat of a jerk and making light of Haruhi's ridiculous relationship with her 'minions'. In spite of that, Sokka's tone is pretty flat. There's no excitement here and it's pretty obvious through the message something is bothering him.]

Hey Haruhi, feel free to send Naoki over. He can do his thing now. [Oh wait...] Uh, after Leon takes a look over it, I guess.

Uh, hey Diana. Can I ask a favor?

[This last one he almost backs out of doing. But it's been a few days now and things haven't changed. Maybe this will help.]

So... hypothetically speaking, how do you make up it up to someone you really care about for something that really hurt them when what you did... there was nothing you could do about it?

[With things so awkward at home with Suki, Sokka has been spending less time there. It's hard to spend time with your girlfriend when she's still upset with you, but being polite about it. So this leaves him working at the smithy for longer hours, actually doing homework at the library, and once more taking part in his neverending quest to find a hat that really says Sokka to him. Through all this, he is accompanied by a certain cheeky lemur hanging around on top of his head, shoulder, or getting into things he shouldn't.

He will, at least, drag himself home for dinner. Delicious, awkward dinner.]

Talk to her. Try to make it up to her however possible. Make it clear you regret it, and give her space if she asks. [He'd say "Get down on your knees and beg for forgiveness" But really, that's obvious.]

Mm. [She nods to herself] But that doesn't make you a bad person. All sorts of people do things that hurt other people on accident.

[Others, huh? He's not surprised by that. He casually glosses over the advice. It's not dismissed, he's just not commenting on it.]

Yeah, I know that. [They just... happen to him a lot. It was just an 'accident' that events led to Princess Yue having to give up her life when Sokka was supposed to protect her. Or an 'accident' that the Invasion was already known about by the enemy, resulting in everyone he led to being captured. So why shouldn't he manage to ruin things with him and Suki with another 'accident'?]

But just being an accident doesn't fix anything.

Fair enough. So uh, to sum it up... things kind of resulted in me knowing something something about my girlfriend that's really private. Really, really private. And by knowing, I guess I mean seeing.

So I've got this big heavy teleporter thing and I kinda need to get it over the mountains to the ocean. Unfortunately I'm kind of lacking in the super strength. And the flying. Pretty much a big no on both of those, despite the wings.

I would, but I don't think Hawky likes her very much.

[Yes, he will not send a letter unless it's through Hawky. It's how he rolls.]

Of course not! [She sounds mildly surprised. Did she imply that?]

[Leon spends the half hour going over some notes and packing a tome and notebook, then uses his shortcut to get over to the smithy just a little earlier than he had told Sokka. He looks around for the older teen, hoping to be done with everything before Naoki needs to lug anything anywhere.]

Uh, no problem? [He's not sure why he's being thanked.]

Thanks for trying.

Yeah, I got that far. [At least Charlotte gives him credit for that much.] That's about it.

[Sokka is just sitting in the smithy, idly unshelling some nuts and feeding them to Momo. Sure, the lemur could do it on his own, but it's something to do and Edward won't let Sokka work on weapons when he's moody. But he stops when Leon enters though.]

Oh, you're early.

So... how did they take it?

She said she needed time... and that I should go back to class.

[Which he didn't do, incidentally. He's a bad student.]
