[Sokka woke up feeling a little odd, as most people have this event. Looser clothing, his hair practically unmanageable, and everything seeming just a little bit bigger. As he stumbles his way to the bathroom, he also can't help but feel something is missing. It becomes all to obvious what when he take care of his morning business with the throne of porcelain. After some yelling and flailing, Sokka soon discovers an all too familiar face in the mirror. One that most certainly is not his.

After this initial shock, it takes Sokka awhile to work up the nerve to break into his girlfriend's room and steal some of her clothes. Maybe it's a good thing she's not here, because she would KILL HIM. Even if he's doing his best not to look. After initially putting his hair into a typical wolf tail, he decides it's definitely not the right look for this body and stumbles through putting it up how it's supposed to be.

Eventually he works up the nerve to just... leave. No one knows Suki is kidnapped, right? Well, not many people. Maybe he can get away with just pretending to be Suki and avoid having the inevitably mockery of having been turned into a girl. Oh yes, this plan is flawless. Before heading out, he catches Raine's school announcement, prompting a response of:]

No school? Thank goodness! Wasn't going to go anyway.

[Oops, didn't mean to record that. But he takes off, to do some of his normal stuff. Drop by the smithy (he'll sadly have to explain things to Winry and Edward), pick up food at the store, and maaaaybe swing by the clothing store and pick up some girly clothing so he doesn't have to run around in Suki's stuff. He's dressed in Suki's typical Earth Kingdom apparel, although he does curiously have his sword and boomerang in addition to a pair of fans at his side. And of course, the ever ubiquitous bag of holding that on his new body, looks more like an oversized purse. Yeah, this plan? It cannot fail.]

[Sokka steps over the village and puts Momo outside of the room and shuts the door behind him, then sits against it.]

I dunno. Maybe just an hour? [Although he's never known any experiment to be that short.] But don't worry, as long as you're like this, I'll be right here.

[She is... unreasonably glad to hear that, as this is mildly horrifying. But it's not like she's in danger or anything...]

...YOU COULD PROBABLY JUST PUT ME ON A SHELF OR SOMETHING...

I'm not sure where I'd even pick you up from...

[He's currently more concerned about her melting.]

...WELL, THAT'S JUST GREAT.

[This totally sucks]

[Well... maybe we can make the best of this.]

... I took a picture of you with the journal. When you're back to normal, you'll be able to see it! I can see where we live from up here.

[When Sokka's attempting optimism, the world is backwards.]

THAT'S JUST GREAT, SOKKA. WHAT IF I'M LIKE THIS--

[Well, that solves that. Sokka presses a finger against Katara's forehead.]

Welcome back.

[Wincing a little, Katara bats Sokka's finger away and goes to sit up straight. She feels a little wobbly.]

That was really weird.

That may have been the weirdest thing I've ever seen in Luceti. Which is saying a lot.

[Maybe this means Sokka will change back soon, though. He could only be so lucky.]

[Excuse her, as Katara allows herself to have A Moment. She draws her knees up to her chest and buries her head in them, her voice coming out muffled but with more annoyance than despair.]

I hate these experiments.

Oh come on! At least it only lasted a few minutes. Besides, check this out!

[Sokka moves over by Katara, then opens up Suki's journal. Inside it is a picture of Suki standing over the village, a maniacal evil look in her eye, as if she plans to destroy it.]

You can't get a picture like this normally, am I right?

[Yes, but it felt terrible and... okay, looking up at the picture.]

...you look demented.

[He waves his finger.]

No. Suki looks demented!

Yes, good job preserving that for her to see.

[All right, she feels a little bit more like herself now.]

So... guess I'll have to go out there. Face the village. Do my usual stuff. [Refuse to reveal who he is.]

[She waves at him.]

You'd better finish getting dressed first.

[Yeah... bindings and a pair of loose pants? Not stellar dress wear.]

... oh, fun.

The rest of it won't be so bad. And who knows - maybe you'll change back soon too?

Hopefully, you know, not in the middle of being not here!

[because suddenly turning into his old self in Suki's clothes? Uh, not a good mental picture.]

Well, it's not like it won't be happening to everybody else.

I'm perfectly fine with it happening to other people who aren't me.

[Eyebrow.]

That's not what I meant.

Yeah, well, I just think I'm going to look a little weird if I'm back to my old, manly self dressed in... Suki's clothes.

[Sigh. He's just not getting it.] Well, while you worry about that, I'm going to go back to bed.

[And she gets to her feet. She's got emotional backlog, OK? And no school. And she apparently turns into their village. So she'll just stay home for now.]
