[Sokka woke up feeling a little odd, as most people have this event. Looser clothing, his hair practically unmanageable, and everything seeming just a little bit bigger. As he stumbles his way to the bathroom, he also can't help but feel something is missing. It becomes all to obvious what when he take care of his morning business with the throne of porcelain. After some yelling and flailing, Sokka soon discovers an all too familiar face in the mirror. One that most certainly is not his.

After this initial shock, it takes Sokka awhile to work up the nerve to break into his girlfriend's room and steal some of her clothes. Maybe it's a good thing she's not here, because she would KILL HIM. Even if he's doing his best not to look. After initially putting his hair into a typical wolf tail, he decides it's definitely not the right look for this body and stumbles through putting it up how it's supposed to be.

Eventually he works up the nerve to just... leave. No one knows Suki is kidnapped, right? Well, not many people. Maybe he can get away with just pretending to be Suki and avoid having the inevitably mockery of having been turned into a girl. Oh yes, this plan is flawless. Before heading out, he catches Raine's school announcement, prompting a response of:]

No school? Thank goodness! Wasn't going to go anyway.

[Oops, didn't mean to record that. But he takes off, to do some of his normal stuff. Drop by the smithy (he'll sadly have to explain things to Winry and Edward), pick up food at the store, and maaaaybe swing by the clothing store and pick up some girly clothing so he doesn't have to run around in Suki's stuff. He's dressed in Suki's typical Earth Kingdom apparel, although he does curiously have his sword and boomerang in addition to a pair of fans at his side. And of course, the ever ubiquitous bag of holding that on his new body, looks more like an oversized purse. Yeah, this plan? It cannot fail.]

[No school = experiment = ohdeargawd, now what.

Katara is sitting at the table, poking at oatmeal. It's morning and she's tired and it's experiment week, and so she doesn't look up when someone enters the room.]

[From the inside of the bathroom:]

Gaaaah! Where's my...!? How did I get-!? Are these my...!? THAT'S NOT ME!

[Suddenly Sokka throws open the bathroom, nearly tripping over his new feet, and looking all around panicked. Of course, that WOULD be when Katara had to wake up. Oh jeez. Maybe if he slips back into the bathroom, she WON'T notice.]

Suki, what - [Starting up because - okay, wow, when did you get back and why are you freaking out and--]

Wait, what? What do you mean that's not you? Are you all right?

[Oh snap, SNAP. He's been caught. Okay, get it together, just:]

I'M NOT SUKI! [Wow, that was even more girlishly high pitched than usual.] It's me and no, I am not alright! I've got... got... girly bits!!

Wait -- Sokka?

Yes! Of course it's me!

Well, how was I supposed to know? You look just like--

--Suki! [And right about here is where all of the hilarious wrongness of this situation strikes her, and Katara, helpful younger sister that she is, begins to laugh.]

Oh man. [laughter] You are so lucky she's not here.

[GLARE.]

I'm glad you find this so funny! [He is kind of glad, though. Oh man, does that mean Suki is in his body? That's how body swaps work, right?]

But what am I supposed to do!?

Close your eyes?

[Sorry, it is too early for her to be helpful. Try again later.]

Yeah, thanks. Real helpful.

[He stomps past her, towards his room and... stands there for a bit, staring down at his new body. Then glances over at Suki's room. HMMMM.]

[Pffffff. Still laughing a little, Katara... well, okay, she follows him.]

Hey, Sokka. If you want, I can handle the... [she gestures vaguely] wrappings.

[Considering all he has on is a pair of pants, that are barely staying up, and the tunic he slept in... oh jeez, this is so awkward. But this may be better. If Suki knew he looked and touched...]

Uh, that. Yeah, let's do that. [He glances back at her, noting that they are basically the same height now. That's just weird.]

[That is a somewhat familiar face. Sokka blinks a bit at the (sob) taller woman and decides to say something.]

... are you looking for something?

No, I - Suki, what are you doing here? If you're looking for Sokka I haven't seen him yet.

[WARNING. This is someone Suki knows, but you don't! Proceed with caution.]

Uh, no. Sokka he... he decided to go check out the desert fort. For the teleporter. Needs a good spot, right? So he asked me to check things out here.

[SMILE.]

That's weird. I thought he would have told Edward and me before he left. Is this going to be an all day thing?

Could be... could be a few days, yeah. You never can tell, right? [A pause.] How exactly do you know Sokka anyway? [Cuz Sokka doesn't know you, woman.]

[Well, mark one more thing down on the list of things Katara never thought she'd have to do.]

All right, just - hold on a second.

[/brb, raiding Suki's panty/wrapping drawer.]

[In the meantime, Sokka is just going to follow Katara in the room, a little dumbstruck. He notices the mirror in her room and steps towards it. Now that he's had time to get used to it, he's able to not freak out. He starts making faces at himself, finding it all too amusing to see Suki making faces she never usually does. By the time Katara has found what she's looking for, Sokka will have grown bored amusing himself and will be pulling his tunic forward, about to glance down.]

[Oh no you didn't, son.]

Sokka!

... sorry! Sorry! [Letting go, turning away from the mirror.] I couldn't help it. [It's not like he won't see SOONER or later.]

[You have to wait for permission! >=|]

Ugh! [Boys are so gross.]

Just - turn around [away from the mirror] and close your eyes.
