[This morning, the Sokka that wakes up is not the one he was before. However as he gets out of bed, he soon recognizes the room he's in. He remembered it from two years ago... how did he get back here? How was he going to get back? With a sigh, he turns to his journal.]

What's the month and cycle here?

[Best to find out how long he's been gone. He soon finds some clothes that aren't too small on him and gets dressed, heading out to see what's changed since he's been gone from Luceti. Already he knows something is wrong. If he was sent home and brought back, all this stuff shouldn't be here. Maybe some people from home are here. Or maybe... maybe his sister is still alive here. He swallows hard as he exits his room, going to explore the house.

Later in the day, he'll be roaming town, now educated about what exactly is going on. He isn't too happy about it, but he can at least catch up with some old friends before he's sent home.]

((ooc: Avatar Sokka again! From his perspective, he left for his own world in August and has been gone for two years. He has all of his memories from prior to AU, thought it may take awhile for him to remember some people. Anyone regular Sokka met after August is completely new to him. Also, replies will come from

... four months, then.

Four months? [She leans forward to take a closer look at Sokka's picture. ...No, he couldn't look that much older in four months.] It has to be more than that.

Two years for me, four months for you. [A groan.] At least that leaves less to catch up on. [A pause as he considers her.] I remember you.

...What? Sokka, I saw you last week. [You know. As a girl.] Maybe it's been longer for you, but it's not been months for me.

Different Sokkas. We've met. Four months ago. [Starting to get it yet?]

...Oh. It's you. [But, despite the bad note that they had left on, there's no rancour in her tone. Now that she wasn't dating Shirley, the things they had argued about didn't seem so irritating. A couple of comments were annoying and getting flirted at so seriously by Sokka had been a bit awkward, but nothing to hold a grudge over.

That's not to say she sounded happy about it. She still preferred the Sokka she knew. Rather, it was just a statement of fact.]

Yeah, it's me. [He prefers the version of Luceti where people knew and liked him and maybe wanted to climb in bed with him. Other Sokka had such a weird relationship with the ladies. Although on that note, he needed to figure out her name.]

It's Shirley, right? We dated once.

[And the lack of an annoyed tone goes away as her eyebrows go down.] It's Fenimore.

[... oh, right. This was Fenimore, the bitchy roommate.]

Sorry, it's been awhile for me. All of it's still coming back to me.

[It's a good thing he's not affected by the thoughts experiment at the same time.]

I can see the people you met here meant a lot to you. [Sarcasm? What sarcasm? Even if she doesn't really care too much for this version of Sokka, she'd be a little hurt if regular Sokka forgot her in two years.]

[Yeah, he sees what you're doing there.]

They did. But dreams are hard to remember, especially after waking up from them.

Hmmm. [She still doesn't sound thrilled, but she'll let him explain himself, at least.] Is that all it is? When you return home, it turns into a dream?

Better than nothing, I suppose. [There was a time he hated that idea. But after leaving and coming back, he's... kind of okay with it.]

I don't know.... [Huh? Why was she disagreeing? Remembering a little bit should be better than not remembering at all, but...she really wasn't sure why, but it somehow felt sadder to her for a moment than not remembering at all. She shakes her head.] Well...it's not like it matters what I think. It's not something we could change.

Basically. We just have to deal with it. [And enjoy Luceti while you can. Might as well make the dreams interesting.]

Mm. Well, at least you won't have to deal with it for long. [She doesn't really think about that before she says it, so she doesn't really consider any unfortunate implications in it.]

[No existential crisis here. He went home last time. He's certain he will again.]

.......Huh. [She's...really not sure how to take this.] So that's the change....
