[This morning, the Sokka that wakes up is not the one he was before. However as he gets out of bed, he soon recognizes the room he's in. He remembered it from two years ago... how did he get back here? How was he going to get back? With a sigh, he turns to his journal.]

What's the month and cycle here?

[Best to find out how long he's been gone. He soon finds some clothes that aren't too small on him and gets dressed, heading out to see what's changed since he's been gone from Luceti. Already he knows something is wrong. If he was sent home and brought back, all this stuff shouldn't be here. Maybe some people from home are here. Or maybe... maybe his sister is still alive here. He swallows hard as he exits his room, going to explore the house.

Later in the day, he'll be roaming town, now educated about what exactly is going on. He isn't too happy about it, but he can at least catch up with some old friends before he's sent home.]

((ooc: Avatar Sokka again! From his perspective, he left for his own world in August and has been gone for two years. He has all of his memories from prior to AU, thought it may take awhile for him to remember some people. Anyone regular Sokka met after August is completely new to him. Also, replies will come from

avatarsokka. Sokka is now eighteen, taller (5'10), and more built than his icons imply (Earthbending does that to you). He has since fixed his shoop beard.))

[And Sokka might bump into Toph stepping out of her room as he explores the house.]

[Buffy, nearly seventeen and with a way smaller chip on her shoulder, recognizes someone she knows. At least--she thinks so. Huh. Something's new.]

The month is December and I believe the cycle year changed from three to four recently?

[Katara went to bed exhausted and mini. Epic snowball fights can do that to a girl. So she is still out like a light while you are up with the dawn. ~~Are you sure you're not a firebender?~~

Remember which room's hers?]

[So he does. She gets a weird look as he regards her. It takes him a second before he realizes... that's Toph, only younger. Just like that time he was in that weird, other Luceti.]

Toph?

[He vaguely recognizes her too, although not by much. She was just that person he had only talked to a few times back in August.]

It's nothing new. [Although given this isn't the Luceti he was from, ugh...] At least for me.

[That voice...]

Winry?

[He does. He stands at her doorway for far too long to count. He doesn't know whether she'll be on the other side. He's not sure what he's hoping for the most. One one hand, seeing his little sister again, for the first time in a year... but it would be like losing her all over again. After long deliberation, he quietly opens the door and steps in. The room is much like he remembered it and there, on the bed, she's sleeping.

It's like a wrench to the heart. He can't bring himself to wake her, so he sits in a nearby chair instead and bows his head. What do I even say?]

Sokka?

[... uh, okay. That's weird, but he hasn't seen her in two years, so...]

Yeah, it's me. [With a weary sigh.] I'm back.

[She's not sleeping that soundly. Soon enough, the sense of another person in the room will wake her. She props herself up on the bed, absently notes that she's herself again, and glances around. All she sees is her brother's bowed head - and she doesn't register anything else this early in the morning.]

Sokka? Is something wrong?

...O-oh. Hello.

[And there's her all too familiar voice. How does he answer that? Yeah, everything's fine, you're just alive again.]

I just wanted to check on you. [Deeper voice? Check. And when he lifts his head to look at her, there's that all too familiar beard, as well as a scar he never had before on his right cheek.]

[That gets a smile, just because it's a friendly voice.]

Longer for me than you, but it's good to hear you again.

If it's been so long, why don't we meet up?

[It's not his Katara. Dammit, he gets to his sister again and it's not even the right one. His fists tighten and his jaw remains clenched. It's not fair.]

[This would be an older Nan heading your way - pausing, eying the facial hair, frowning and then] ... Sokka?

[... not her fault. And chances are this is the one he met in that weird alternate Luceti he spent a week in. So... just deal with it, Sokka.]
