Sokka the 47th - [Voice/Action]

I guess that's it for the new people, unless it starts up again this month. Well, anyway, I'm Sokka. Or Sokka Thunderaxe as some have been known to call me. I'm fine with either one.

I run the smithy here in town, known as the Slash 'n Crash, along with Edward and Winry. They both work for me. [They don't, but this is some rather obvious trolling here.] So if you need any kind of weapons made, or sharpened, or you know... some other kind of odd job. I'm the go to guy for that. There isn't money, so... the stuff is free. But we do accept favors as payment! Or food. Or well, anything. Just ask for me, Sokka. That's with an okka. [Accept no substitutes.]

Sooooo. [A beat.] How did it go?

[For you action lovers out there, Sokka can be found at his usual haunts. School, the smithy, eating lunch in the plaza, or generally hanging out around his house.]

... Yes, it's fine. Thank you. [She just wasn't expecting the offer.] If you're certain it's not out of your way, of course.

No, not really. I always take the shortcut through the woods anyway.

[He walks over to Hawky and gets the bird to climb on his shoulder.]

All right. [She usually does too. Unfortunately, that's where she's gotten attacked the most. She adjusts her hold on the rod, making sure it's wrapped securely.]

Yes, I'm ready.

[He usually manages to avoid getting attacked too often. One of the advantages of not living with Yuber's summoner, perhaps. He goes to the door and opens it, waiting for her to follow.]

So, I found out the library? You're not supposed to just take them and put them back in any spot.

[That doesn't have much to do with it, since Yuber didn't even know Raine lived with his summoner until recently. It's just ... bad timing. She does shake her head at his little 'quip' as she follows after him.]

That's only common sense, Sokka.

[He frowns at that. What's common sense doesn't always apply when you grew up in a tiny village.]

Hey, in my defense, I was only in one library before the one in Luceti. And it was run by the Spirit of Knowledge in an ancient underground library. Foxes went out and brought books to add to the collection. I just figured this one... Shifted the books back to the right place. Like the grocery store.

I see... to be honest, I wasn't certain if you were joking or not. Initially, this particular library wasn't actually tended by anyone here, or used very often; those who did use it were able to find themselves books whenever it was necessary. Eventually, sometime after the population began to grow, an entire system developed around it.

... so people actually go through and keep these books in order? Wow. That... takes all the magic out of it, huh? [And makes him feel a tad guilty.]

I suppose once people became more organized, they wanted to keep track of which materials were available. Honestly, it used to be shifted into the right general sections anyway, but... that's just the way of people. They like knowing that something was accomplished by their own power, and not an unknown source.

I can respect that. I mean, we organize the smithy regardless. Nobody has to run it, but...

The smithy and weapon shop weren't in the same place for a while either. But that changed once the ... former shopkeeper was taken away. Things became a little too disorganized, and Lloyd moved the smithy from his house to the building, which... honestly makes more sense, overall.

Yeah, it does. [You know, that does strike a chord with something he's always wondered.]

Lloyd was send home around the same time I arrived, so I never actually met him. What was he like?

Lloyd? Ah...

[How even to begin answering that? The words come of their own accord after a few moments.] He was my brother's best friend, even with the differences between them. He always had a carefree nature, and would often look out for people. He was never the best scholar... getting him to pay proper attention to lessons was a nightmare, sometimes. He has a large heart, though - he always saw the world in a way that not many others did. With his determination... well. Many things were affected, hopefully for the better.

[Ahh, he knows that type of person. Like Aang! Such predictable heroic molds they come in.]

Sounds like he would've been my kind of guy. Kinda wish I had met him.

... Yes. I think you two would have gotten along.

Well, he must have got along with Edward. And we get along. So probably.

[Oh look, this is her house.] So uh. Here you are.

Indeed. [She looks up at the house. The staff feels so heavy, but at least there wasn't any trouble.]

... So it seems. Thank you for your help, Sokka.

Hey, don't mention it. You uh, get some rest. A nap or something. Looks like you could use one.

[With that, he'll start edging homeward.]
