Sokka the 47th - [Voice/Action]

I guess that's it for the new people, unless it starts up again this month. Well, anyway, I'm Sokka. Or Sokka Thunderaxe as some have been known to call me. I'm fine with either one.

I run the smithy here in town, known as the Slash 'n Crash, along with Edward and Winry. They both work for me. [They don't, but this is some rather obvious trolling here.] So if you need any kind of weapons made, or sharpened, or you know... some other kind of odd job. I'm the go to guy for that. There isn't money, so... the stuff is free. But we do accept favors as payment! Or food. Or well, anything. Just ask for me, Sokka. That's with an okka. [Accept no substitutes.]

[Don't scare him like that! Farming is one thing he does not miss from back when he used to be super strong.]

Why not? Sword making isn't easy! I wouldn't mind having some of my own home grown veggies. Who knows if the stuff the Malnosso gives us is even real!

Oh my gosh, it's not real?!

[He's gullible.]

I don't know. I said if!

But what if the food totally isn't good? Oh my gosh, that's like, so scary. Dude.

I've been here for nearly a year now. I'm just fine.

What if you don't know and you've got some gnarly stuff in you?

Then your farming might be the only thing that saves me.

[Oh well then. This might be the only choice. He doesn't want anybody dying. Besides, he's pretty sure he can find a way to get somebody to do all of his work anyway.]

I'll totally do some farming. But then like, we have to have a deal. That's how these things work. You have to keep my saber all nice and pointy and help me when I need help. Got it?

[Because if he is trying to extend this to other stuff, Sokka is not biting. :|]

Sometimes. Sometimes I like, might need help with other stuff. But I mean, if I'm farming for you? That's worth way more than a saber, dude.

[Dirt gets under your nails and stuff when you farm.]

Technically you'd be farming for me, yourself, and anyone else you want to make deals with. Only you get to reap the benefits of this sword, but a farm could benefit several people. So really, the amount of food I'll get from your farm really wouldn't equal the cost of a sword, if we lived in a money-based system.

Uh, farming is totally a lot of work. I'm not making a big farm, just enough for you, me, and somebody else too. If anybody else wants food, they're like, going to have to get it for themselves or make a deal with me or something. Plus like, if we're basing this all on money and junk, with farming, you need seeds, materials, tools, and a bunch of other stuff. That's a lot of money, dude. You could totally do me a favor here and there.

[Or every other day, but shhh.]

Hmm. [He strokes his chin.]

But you're not taking into account supply and demand. The supply of swords with cute hilts is very limited, whereas there's no shortage of food.

But like, that food could totally be gnarly and they could be poisoning us or something. I'm like, saving your life.

I'm sure I could find someone else to do some farming...

[NO.

A small squeak and then he speaks again, trying to sound calm.]

J-just like, make me the saber and I'll do the farming, okay?!

Deal! I'll have your sword done in a week!

Okay!

[He sounds happy too, like he doesn't even realize what happened. He doesn't. He's just happy to get his sword, Very tricky, Sokka.]

I'll let you know when it's done.

[By then, Sokka will feel bad for being such a cheat and probably call the farming thing off. He got caught up in the moment! It's not often he gets to be a shrewd negotiator.]
