Sokka the 47th - [Voice/Action]

I guess that's it for the new people, unless it starts up again this month. Well, anyway, I'm Sokka. Or Sokka Thunderaxe as some have been known to call me. I'm fine with either one.

I run the smithy here in town, known as the Slash 'n Crash, along with Edward and Winry. They both work for me. [They don't, but this is some rather obvious trolling here.] So if you need any kind of weapons made, or sharpened, or you know... some other kind of odd job. I'm the go to guy for that. There isn't money, so... the stuff is free. But we do accept favors as payment! Or food. Or well, anything. Just ask for me, Sokka. That's with an okka. [Accept no substitutes.]

I've heard enough. If you're using that 'with an okka' line in a poem, you shouldn't be writing poetry.

Okay, I'll admit, that one got me kicked out. But all the ones before that were great.

Kicked out of what?

I don't know, it was some kind of haiku school or something. I'm not even sure how it happened, but I got into some kind of contest with the instructor. And I was doing great. But well, I got cocky. And that's all it takes... one mistake. One too many syllable and the muscle-for-hire threw me out.

... A haiku school with hired muscle.

Bai Sing Se is a really weird place.

[And it was a school for rich noble girls.]

The girls there were pretty cute though.

Was this during your epic quest?

Yeah, basically. It was the bit where we were trying to get the Earth King's help. Didn't exactly go according to plan.

... So you took time out of your epic, world-saving journey to try and pick up foreign girls from a poetry school?

Uh, not exactly. We were kind of stuck in the city, waiting for an appointment with the Earth King. So we had time to kill.

... You had to wait for an appointment. To save the world.

In our defense, the king was being controlled by a corrupt secret police force called the Dai Li. They had brainwashed tour guides handling us to keep us from finding out anything.

... and Aang was willing to wait, because he was trying to find Appa.

... I never, ever want to go to your world.

Hey, it's fine now! The war's over and, well, you can avoid Bai Sing Se.

Is that really the only place in your world like that?

Uh. Chin Village is pretty bad too.

Tell me about your world again?

Uh, well there's four nations. The Earth Kingdom, which is where Ba Sing Se is; the Water Tribes, I'm from the southern one; the Fire Nation, who started the war; and the Air Nomads, who were wiped out. We're not as technologically as advanced as your world. We haven't discovered electricity yet and most things are powered by either steam, coal, or bending. The latter being a special elemental control that only certain people can do.

And you mentioned that the water tribe you're from is on the south pole, right?

That's the one. I'm from the South Pole. Why?

So your choices on where to live in this world are in a country controlled by a psychotic puppet government that doesn't allow people to save the world, on the south pole, in the nation that picked a hundred-year-long war and committed genocide, or that fourth group who got entirely wiped out.

Uh... well. The South Pole isn't that bad! Neither is the North Pole. And we dealt with the Dai Li, so that's not even an issue anymore.
