Sokka the 47th - [Voice/Action]

I guess that's it for the new people, unless it starts up again this month. Well, anyway, I'm Sokka. Or Sokka Thunderaxe as some have been known to call me. I'm fine with either one.

I run the smithy here in town, known as the Slash 'n Crash, along with Edward and Winry. They both work for me. [They don't, but this is some rather obvious trolling here.] So if you need any kind of weapons made, or sharpened, or you know... some other kind of odd job. I'm the go to guy for that. There isn't money, so... the stuff is free. But we do accept favors as payment! Or food. Or well, anything. Just ask for me, Sokka. That's with an okka. [Accept no substitutes.]

Sooooo. [A beat.] How did it go?

[For you action lovers out there, Sokka can be found at his usual haunts. School, the smithy, eating lunch in the plaza, or generally hanging out around his house.]

... awesome being here used to describe something that works better than usual.

[Sokka is a firm believer in function over form. He regularly shakes his head at the ridiculous weapons that pass through the smithy during New Feather season.]

I shall be wanting one soon enough, lad. Or at least my old one sharpened.

Just bring it in. It doesn't take long.

[Pfffft.]

...Hmph. You'll end up giving Lord Sigmund the wrong idea.

Oh gee, we wouldn't want that. [What will he do? Forbid Edward from coming to the smithy?]

I don't. No doubt you could care less. [Though at this point Edward isn't even sure if Sigmund would care.]

... I'll take you're word for it. This time.

Aye---I'll be by.

[And sometime later? He's by. With the monkey.]

Oi! Thunderaxe! Jack's got a monkey what needs a house!

...one of these days, you're going to have to tell me who gave you that name.

Hey, that's not fair. I care. Really.

I could, but I don't think he'd give you one, too.

[Immediately there's a hawk sitting on a perch beside the couch that starts screeching at the monkey. This gets Sokka's attention, unfortunately Hawky doesn't seem to want to calm down.]

Two days, Jack! I said two days! Not two hours!

Oh, don't worry about that. I don't want him to give me anything.

Oh gee, thanks. Glad to hear that.

You know, Katara, with that kind of attitude, no one will want to.

You don't want to measure him?

[This would be like trying to measure, oh, I don't know, a hummingbird that has smoked all your crack.]

And here's the axe. [He thumps the dull-bladed tool down on the counter.]

Oh no. I'll be stuck forever with the name my parents gave me, and forced to use my actual culture to represent myself. Whatever will I do.

[He can see the monkey from here.]

He looks roughly Momo-sized. I think I should be fine.

I really don't know. It certainly won't be a combination of cultural heritage and a creation of your identity like me. Oh well. Be bland, it's fine.

What 'creation of your identity?' You don't even use an axe!

But I have one! And I even carry it with me sometimes. But it also creates an unexpected element. Anyone who is going to fight me, will expect an axe. But then they get a sword and boomerang instead. Element of surprise.

And what do you think they'll expect with thunder? The sound of your snoring?

I'm pretty sure yours would drown it out.

Really. [VERY SKEPTICAL IS THIS ONE. At least as far as this business is concerned.]
