[It had been an unusually quiet day at the ~~Walton~~ Avatar house. Last night they had all exchanged their good nights. This morning they had all had breakfast together. But when dinner came around, one of their number was conspicuously absent. Electing himself to go yell at their time-dislocated buddy to come and eat. He didn't suspect anything, after all. Roku's staff was sitting off in a corner from when he came in earlier. But when Sokka knocked on the door and received no answer, he proceeded to push the door open...

And saw a sight he had seen before. An empty room. Back to the way it was when they first moved in, save for the paint on the walls. With a sigh, Sokka steps aside so Katara can see. This... this isn't going to be easy.

Hours later, Sokka will leave a message on the journals about it, opting to stick with writing to make things easier.]

Hey everyone. It looks like Roku lucked out and went home. Since he didn't get a chance to say it himself, thanks to everyone who was there for his birthday and stuff. You don't have to worry about him, though. He's got a big important future and is going to live to be an old man with kids. He'll even have statues in his honor. So yeah. ~~Still gonna miss him though.~~

Hey, it's not like I don't do stuff too! We share responsibilities. [Sokka just shares them more than she does.]

So, what do you do then? Eat all the food she makes.

I cook sometimes. And clean stuff... and fix things that don't fix automatically... You know. Stuff.

Well you do work at the smithy, so that's something. Still, you should try to learn how to be more productive in your home. Even I've been teaching myself cooking. I can help teach you some things if you want.

[He mostly asks this out of amusement.]

I did say I was going to teach you table manners! If you're going to be an adult you need to know how to eat like one too.

Maybe I can teach you some cooking as well.

So basically what you're saying is you want me to come over, help you make dinner, and then be on my best behavior when we eat?

I can make dinner myself just fine now! What I want to do is teach you proper table manners. After all, how can you get married if you don't know how to be a proper gentleman? You'll be ruined!

But you said something about cooking- [Not the point. Right.] I don't think I have to worry about getting married soon anyway.
