Sokka the 35th - [Action/Written]

[It had been an unusually quiet day at the Walton Avatar house. Last night they had all exchanged their good nights. This morning they had all had breakfast together. But when dinner came around, one of their number was conspicuously absent. Electing himself to go yell at their time-dislocated buddy to come and eat. He didn't suspect anything, after all. Roku's staff was sitting off in a corner from when he came in earlier. But when Sokka knocked on the door and received no answer, he proceeded to push the door open...

And saw a sight he had seen before. An empty room. Back to the way it was when they first moved in, save for the paint on the walls. With a sigh, Sokka steps aside so Katara can see. This... this isn't going to be easy.

Hours later, Sokka will leave a message on the journals about it, opting to stick with writing to make things easier.]

Hey everyone. It looks like Roku lucked out and went home. Since he didn't get a chance to say it himself, thanks to everyone who was there for his birthday and stuff. You don't have to worry about him, though. He's got a big important future and is going to live to be an old man with kids. He'll even have statues in his honor. So yeah. Still gonna miss him though.

Guessing Katara isn't taking it very well.

[good thinking. Thank you Sokka.

And a slight sigh, at that. But this is just the kind of things that takes time. He remembers last time-- but that was Aang.]

I'm sorry to hear that.

I guess it'll just take some time. [....] It's hardest-- that you can't say goodbye, huh?

No-- they certainly seem to be their own person.

But better to have met once, than never. [it's entirely possible that he doesn't believe that, or think you believe it. Then again, it's just as possible that he does.]

I spoke with him a few times ... [which is "much", for him] He told me a little more about the role of the avatar. Seemed interested in mushi. [that one story in particular]

Yeah.... his wasn't the only overlap, between worlds. [kinda makes him want to visit your spirit world-- but this isn't the time to go musing on comparative mythologies]

A few. There seemed to be a pattern to it-- usually those with a spiritual connection to nature.

Or hell, just really bad luck.

Ehhh, that's the only thing that really explains Sanji and Miu.

Maybe it's a dormant genetic trait, even in other worlds. [AND OH THE POSSIBILITIES THAT IMPLIES. Don't get him started.]

[an amused snort] Huhh.

Kidnapped by a forest spirit... [sort of like falling into complete darkness after inadvertently killing a newborn god and waiting to die alone?

...except maybe not.]
Why did it let you go?
