[Sokka has been running around throughout this entire invasion of butterflies. Having finally caught a moments rest, he decides it's about time to organize things. There's not much time for complicated filters, so he makes this fast.]

Alright, White Lotus. Heads up. Everyone should already know what's going on, by now. Someone has been killed already, so we need to step things up. Right now the town square seems to be the worst place right now. There's not a lot of us though, so we should concentrate our efforts on the southern part of the village for now. Those things are everywhere though, so be sure you have someone watching your back.

This is Sokka, from the White Lotus. We're here to back you guys up. We'll take care of the southern part of the village with what we can. That should free you guys up to focus on the town square and the rest of the village.

I think he knows more than he let on. [And if it had been Sokka, he probably would have done the same thing. Still, after everything that's happened, he thinks people deserve an explanation.]

He's going to take care of it. [Oh, the random faith in people character trait. It's been a while since that's surfaced. Have you missed it, Sokka?]

[She holds up her knife to the rain and quickly bends some water on it to clean it.] But like I was saying - if someone made them, don't you think it's weird that they're just acting like animals? They're not very effective weapons like this.

[Sokka has to wonder at the optimism, but... well, she appears to know him. He doesn't quite buy it, but he'll let the matter drop.]

Maybe, maybe not. What's effective in one world might not be effective here. Besides, those things would be pretty dangerous if you sent about a hundred of them at once person. Or just sent a few into a village without any fighters who could kill them.

That's true. And you don't expect something like this from butterflies. If I hadn't known what they were, I would have stood still and let them land on me.

Yeah. That's how the first one got me. If only your friend had put up his warning earlier.

[She sighs. And then starts towards him.] Here, you'd better let me take a look at that.

Fine, but let's get out of the rain first. [He glances over at the house.] I need to get my armor anyway.

[A quick grin.] Oh, what a good idea.

[He has his own smirk.] Yeah, I'm glad I thought of it. [And off he's going, back to their house. Their nice, safe, not on fire house.]

[And since your hair is a mess anyway, she can't resist cuffing you on the back of the head as you walk by before joining you.]

[Gah, his hair. Another good reason to be in his armor. He can just put that helmet on and be done with it. But once they're inside, he starts pulling off the flamethrower gear and sets it off to the side before collapsing in a chair.]

Wow. Sitting. I like sitting. [But he immediately starts undressing his bandages. Fortunately they're not as bad looking as they could be. With the exception of a bite on his left arm, Alexei already took care of some of them. They aren't completely healed and his moving around has aggravated the wounds, but they could be a lot worse.]

[First step: Shut the door firmly behind her. Second step: Bend the water off herself and her brother. Third step: Use the water to seal the spaces between the door and the wall so she doesn't have to worry. Ice is such a lovely thing.]

It's nice to be dry.

[She walks into the kitchen as he undresses his bandages. Food's good too. She doesn't remember breakfast.]

[Breakfast is the only thing he remembers. It was the happiest time of the day.]

Yeah. Usually it just takes longer. [Having the water bended off you is weird. Not bad, but weird.]

[She rolls her eyes, shoves the leftover chicken in rice in one of his hands with a fork in the container, and starts to look over the damage.] You're welcome.

[Katara prepares to start to work on him - she won't do a complete healing, she needs to get back out there, but actually... Nala. She closes her eyes to concentrate on contacting the spirit.]

[He takes to the food immediately and starts stuffing his mouth. Who cares if it's cold? He's too hungry to notice, but he mutters out a thank you between mouthfuls. Eventually though he notices she isn't using her waterbending. So if she's healing him, then...]

You know Nala now?

[This glare is for you. How many times does she have to tell him that this takes work and concentration?]

[She waits until she's finished before answering him.] Nala and I have been talking for months.

... oh. [Well then. At least he feels better now. He really needs to just give in and learn healing magic. But he'd become so good at ignoring her...]

Thanks. [He gets up and set his food aside (well, the empty container). Before he walks away, he fixes her with a very serious expression that doesn't leave room for argument. Well, he hope it doesn't anyway.] Eat something. I'll go grab my stuff.

[Oi, what's with the bossy! She sighs and rolls her eyes. It's not as if she wasn't planning on eating, but now she feels like ignoring him just because she can. So she nags.] And wash your face! You've still got blood on it.

[Up she goes to raid the fridge. Sadly, she lives in a house full of teenage boys, and she gave Sokka their last leftovers... oh look, peanut butter! Time to make a quick sandwich.]

[Sokka is allowed to be concerned too. After all, you spent weeks of barely eating, after all. He shoots her a look about the washing face thing, but he concedes the point and heads in the other direction to go wash off his face. For a moment he catches himself in the mirror. Wow, he is a mess.]
