Sokka the 24th - [Action]

[Today Sokka has excused himself from work, because really, Edward is a frigging beast and he's not too happy about the new couch just yet, so hanging out here with nothing to do is kind of pointless. So today he's working hard on one of his other, more important projects. Namely, building a few more canoes, now that he's determined the prototype to be perfectly safe. So Sokka is over beside House 56 (facing House 57 and the road to the barracks), sawing the wood for the second canoe in his 'fleet'.

If you're one of the people who agreed to help him, feel free to already be there doing so. Or if you just happen to be out and about in this obscure part of Luceti, feel free to gawk.]

[Oh. Hmm. He sets his drink to the side as he ponders that. Usually he gives people the theme park version of his world. He's never had to really explain his home to people from his world.]

Well... except for the Foggy Swamp tribe, the water tribes are in the two poles. It's cold and frozen. Even our homes are made of snow and ice! I only spent about a month or so at the Northern Tribe. But the Southern Tribe, we were pretty small. Because of the war and all. For two years, I was the oldest man in the whole village, even.

That's pretty cool. Did you have a whole lot of responsibilities?

[With that kind of emotional range, she should take lessons from Katara.]

I had to do all the hunting. And defending the village from intruders. And training the younger boys to be soldiers. [And except for the hunting, he sucked at all of those. He was well aware of that now. But he doesn't mention that.]

Me? I was an acrobat in the Fire Nation Circus. Probably the best one they ever had.

Yeah, probably. [Although he can't imagine you actually managing anything.] How did you meet Azula, then? She doesn't seem to be too fond of us 'peasants'.

Oh, I'm not a peasant. My dad's a noble-guy, so I went to the Royal Fire Academy for Girls.

That's where I met Azula.

Well I did run away from home. I didn't want to be another boring noble girl

Maybe if I had been an only child it wouldn't have been. But when you're just the seventh copy of the same noble girl, you kinda want something different.

I might as well have been. I have six sisters, actually. And we all look very creepily similar.

It kinda sucked. My sisters were great and all, but I wanted to be me, Ty Lee, not a copy of somebody else.

It does. But anyway, Azula just tracked me down at the circus, and convinced-- bullied me into helping her.
