Sokka the 24th - [Action]

[Today Sokka has excused himself from work, because really, Edward is a frigging beast and he's not too happy about the new couch just yet, so hanging out here with nothing to do is kind of pointless. So today he's working hard on one of his other, more important projects. Namely, building a few more canoes, now that he's determined the prototype to be perfectly safe. So Sokka is over beside House 56 (facing House 57 and the road to the barracks), sawing the wood for the second canoe in his 'fleet'.

If you're one of the people who agreed to help him, feel free to already be there doing so. Or if you just happen to be out and about in this obscure part of Luceti, feel free to gawk.]

[Generally he has no problem talking about how awesome Azula's breakdown was and how she's in the crazy house now. But he figures that somehow Ty Lee still considers Azula a friend. Maybe. So he opts for less blunt and his grin goes away.]

... yeah. It only gets worse for her. She completely lost it when Zuko had his Agni Kai with her.

It makes you wonder what things would be like. You know, if there had never been the war. [If Roku hadn't completely blown it.]

Yeah, maybe. [And he'd have his family. He shouldn't dwell on that too much.]

[Well, Hugo did say he'd help out whenever he could. He takes a while to get there though, pausing only when he noticed Sokka was hard at work. He'll just wait until he takes a break or something before he speaks, lest he makes the guy stub his thumb or something.]

[If you're still working on your 'fleet' a couple hours later, Sokka, Longshot will be passing through. He's been trying to find Jet, and thought this might be a good place to look what with his leader's fascination with your sister's butt and all]

[Take a break? Sokka is eating an apple while sawing at the same time. He only stops long enough when he finishes cutting through some wood and reaches for a drink, only to find an empty canteen instead. He spots Hugo when he gets up to fill it.]

[Indeed he will be. Although at the moment, Sokka is currently in the house retrieving a soda before returning to work.]

Hey there. [Taking a look at your progress there.] Anything I can do?

[Well, Sokka reaches into his shirt and pulls out his blueprints and looks over it. Hmm, yes, yes. Ah. Right. Of course, that. He holds them out in front of Hugo as he stands behind and above Hugo. He points to his many complicated (and poorly drawn) diagrams of what he plans on doing. One of them includes a wind up sail, seats that stretch out into diving boards, and what looks to be a motor for his boat.

But Sokka just points to the bench seats in the picture.]

I haven't started on the seats yet. They'll need to be measured for the right size. And they need hinges in the right spot, so we can store stuff beneath them. Maybe some kind of locking mechanism too, so stuff doesn't spill out if the boat tips over.

That's what I like to hear! [Have a manly slap on the back as Sokka tucks his blueprints back under his shirt.]

Soda? [Aila's obsession, wasn't it? She never seemed to stop mentioning it.] Sure, I don't mind.

[And Sokka ducks inside. Soda, soda, soda. Ah, here we go.]

[It sure is some boat, isn't it? Right now only the frame for it is really finished. There's still a lot left to go.

Sokka will return shortly with two orange sodas. He hands one to Hugo and stands beside him, admiring his workmanship.] Yup. The number two in the fleet. Gonna have to pick out a real good name for her.

Well I'm sure you'll find something. All the houses are taken, but...

You could try that one. But... well, Azula lives there. I'd avoid being on the same floor as her.
