Sokka the 23rd - [Action/Voice]

[After some more healing sessions, Sokka is almost back to feeling one hundred percent again. Which means he's going back to the smithy today, even if he can't do his usual share of the work, he can at least direct New Feathers with what they need. Besides, after seeing Zuko as a invalid for a few weeks, the last thing Sokka wants to do is spend too much time at home healing, even if it means using a staff to balance on in spite of that injured leg. One of the first things he'll be doing though is looking for Winry. If he can't find her at the smithy or clinic, he'll be making a trip to her house.

Later in the day he opens up his journal to make a voice message. He briefly considers making it filtered, but he's not going to talk about anything considered confidential anyway. Besides, he's feeling to tired to draw up a complicated anti-villain filter now that he has to change his usual pattern to include Azula.]

[Does he tell her that he was walking on it normally when he saw Azula and he aggravated the muscle enough that he's walking with a limp again? Nah.]

Doing just fine. That bending did the trick.

Give me a minute to set up a filter. [He doesn't feel like it, but ugh. The things he has to do.]

[Mostly he just doesn't want Azula finding out about his leg, but it's a little too late for THAT.]

[Ugh. The jerk's there too. She doesn't want to talk to Sokka around him.]

[And off she goes.]

[Sokka has the advantage of being able to hobble out and sit on a bench near the fountain before she comes. He won't be getting up when she comes over though. Cuz he's fiiiiine.]

[She approaches and stops a few feet away from him, looking him over. All in one piece. Nothing's on fire. Way to scare her for nothing.]

So?

[... confession time.]

I ran into Azula yesterday. I didn't want her to know I was injured.

[Sigh.] Azula just seems to be all over, doesn't she. Well. I can't blame you for that. What'd you do, pull it again?

[The water is already on her hands as she approaches him.]

Yeah, probably. [It's so embarrassing being healed in public like this. But... he doesn't say anything about it.]

She even showed up in the smithy today. I think I have a stalker.

[She sits down and gets to healing.] What is it with you and crazy girls?

[It's a tease, but... the idea of Azula stalking Sokka is not a happy one. Give her a minute as she concentrates on fixing your leg.]

[He offers a shrug. But he might have learned his lesson, because he doesn't say anything while she's bending. Better to just get it over with.]

[Not too long passes before she sits back, satisfied.] There. It should just twinge a bit now, just enough to let your body's natural healing take over.

I'll try to avoid Azula before then. [He moves his leg experimentally. Good, it does feel better. He should have asked her to do that this morning.] She probably knows you're here by now.

[Yes, yes Sokka should have asked her. And never let her be the kind of person to not point that out. She shifts into a more comfortable position.] You should have told me you'd hurt yourself. I don't like healing you, but that doesn't mean I won't do it.

...and yeah, I bumped into her yesterday. Meant to talk to you about that, but I didn't get back home until late.

... yeah, I kind of saw you and Zuko out there sparring. [Or it started that way. He decided to mind his own business when it became heated.]

She did? What happened?

[Ah yes, Zuko. Let's not talk about that. Ever. Moving right along...] She said she'd learned from you I was here, I asked her to give me one good reason why I should help her with anything, she said she had no reason to hurt anyone here, and I said - great, get back to me in a few weeks when you've proved you're not crazy. Then I walked away. [Shrug.]

[She glances up at him and then looks away.] Kinda weird not attacking her on sight.
