Sokka the 18th - [Action]

[So after Katara has had her counseling session (with Sokka naturally following her around and being even more Batman super spy than usual), the two will be heading deep in the forest to search for Zuko. They'll try to raise him a few times on the journals, but are otherwise prepared to stay a few nights in the forest, even packing enough gear to spend a few nights camping if need be. After the loss of Toph, Sokka has no intention of seeing their missing comrade suffering a similar fate.

If for some reason your character is out deep in the forest, they may run across the two Watersibs combing their way through the forest. They may not exactly be the most conversational, but they'll probably talk to you if there's good reason to. Feel free to run into them while they're either hiking or if it's late in the day, setting up camp for the night.

Note: Either Katara or Sokka (or both) will answer your character.]

Oh, I didn't know you two had met. [Thinking about it makes him wonder who Zuko had met. He didn't exactly hang out in the same circles that he and Katara did.]

It was about two weeks ago, when he was painting the walls. His firebending is really something!

Yeah. We agreed to show each other firebending and fire magic.

[She remembers hearing about that. In all the craziness that's going on, she's not even embarrassed about the circumstances anymore.] How'd that go?

[Great. Bending talk. Sokka will stop paying attention for now, peering into the forest.]

It's not like that when you cast?

[Katara will notice her brother's disenchantment with the conversation, but she thinks it's important to learn about the skills that other people have, even if they need to move along pretty soon.]

Magic comes from the spirits' interaction with the natural world. I draw on that with the aid of a medium, either a tome or a staff. I suppose that means it'd be an extension of myself, in a way.

[...and that made absolutely no sense to Katara.] I see. Well, maybe one day I'll get to see another demonstration! I'm interested in seeing what things are like from other worlds.

[Another glance at Sokka.] For now, though, we should probably be going.

[Sokka nods and starts to walk away. He turns back to Tormod for just a moment.] If you hear anything, let us know.
