Well, I guess Elisa went home. Her place is cleared out now. I dunno who knew her, but I thought you might like to know.

I'd like to go home without forgetting this place. But I guess going home at all is good enough.

You have a point -- wait, you forget about this place when you return?

You might have picked up on this when you were with my sister, but me, Katara, and Toph have all been in Luceti before. We were brought here and went home and never remembered anything. When we came back? Still didn't remember anything. I wouldn't have known I'd have been here at all unless someone told me.

It must have been awfully weird having someone unfamiliar speak to you like he knows you. And it wasn't just you, but your sister and Toph, too? Luceti really is too strange. . . . I wouldn't want to forget.

Yeah, it was. But it wasn't too bad, because now he's my friend. Again, I guess.

All right. So, this is what a filter's like? It's definitely new to me.

Yup. This one is pretty strong. It'd take some work to break into this one, although I'm pretty sure the Malnosso can read any filter, no matter how strong.

Meaning the level of protection varies depending on how good you're at it, like having experienced guards on duty. And, the Malnosso? Is that what the people in charge are called?

Something like that. It takes a lot of memorization and logic to figure out a good filter. Eventually I hope to have it perfected.

Yeah, didn't anyone show you the guide?

Toph said you gave her a stencil. I'm sure, with practice, we can get it down in no time. You already seem to be pretty good at this.

Well, since Toph can't read... Her filter isn't really all that strong, even with the stencil. It'd be best you learn to make your own.
