Sokka the 12th - [Written/Action]

Since my sister arrived, me, Toph, and Zuko have moved to House 56. Right next to Building 5, hard to miss. Just thought I'd filter this though, what with evil demons going around destroying houses and stuff. So feel free to update your address book!

[And that's all Sokka is writing for now. Right now he's working on getting his room set up if his housemates want to bother him. Just about everything is moved over now, not that there was a whole lot to take. Sokka will miss those purple walls back home, though. He's a little bummed out since he recently discovered that his old 'boss' Elisa stopped showing up to give him sandwiches at the smithy and seems to be gone altogether. Sure, he's his own boss now, but he was getting rather fond of jalapenos...]

Actually I took over the smithy. I've been learning a lot since I started there. It's not as easy as Piandao made it out to be, but I'm pretty good at it.

That's great, Sokka. Really! And something that you'll be able to use when we get home.

Yeah. Only if I remember it, anyways. Not exactly like I remember anything from the last time I was here.

You were here before too? I met someone over the journal-things who said she knew me... Rydia I think her name was.

According to some guy named Vyse. I've talked to Rydia too about when you were here. It's pretty creepy having people act like your friends when you've never met them before.

Yeah... and it's got to be weird for them too, if they did know us before. To have all those memories that we don't have... ['cause that's not parallel to her situation at all. Suddenly, she feels more kindly disposed towards Rydia.]

I try not to let it get to me too much. Vyse is a pretty good guy, so having an automatic new friend isn't too bad.

I can't wait to meet him, then! It seems like this place is full of a lot of interesting people.

...[sly voice] I already met one of your friends.

Well uh, Vyse is a pirate. Just don't steal anything from him. [This face.]

[Oblivious Sokka is oblivious. What's so funny, Katara?] Oh, Winry? Yeah, I gave her a flamethrower.

Oh, a flamethrower. [And she actually succeeds in not laughing and she's speaking with so much false innocence.] She must have really appreciated it. Is it to help keep her warm?

[Said with such frankness, like this is totally normal.] Nah, she wants to use it to build an automail arm that can shoot out fire. I kind of built two flamethrowers two weeks ago because of some weird Malnosso experiment. Long story short, they made me want to try and become a Firebender.

Uh, okaaaay. What kind of experiment is that?

Basically everyone suddenly had the desire to start doing some new job, usually ones they were poorly suited for. It was a... very weird week.

But anyways, Winry is bringing over a housewarming pie. I told her you'd make Stewed Sea Prunes.

I thought you were cooking! Don't you want to show me how you've learned to cook?

Hey, I cook meat, not Sea Prunes. Besides, I'm cooking tonight, not when Winry shows up.

Oh. That's OK, then. Where would I find the Sea Prunes?

At the grocery, apparently. That's where Sanji found them.

Grocery? Like a market? And who's Sanji?

Yeah. If you want, I'll show you where it is.

Sanji... is this guy I know. He's a great cook, but he gets weird around girls. If he goes wild over you, just ignore it. I don't think he's flirting.... I think, anyways.
