Sokka the 10th - [Action]

[With the day nearing its end, Sokka is finally ready to go public with the occupation he's been working on all week. So now he steps into the village square. Two metal tanks are strapped to his back, both filled with 'fuel'. Connected to each one of them is multiple-jointed metal piping used to house and protect a hose, both which connect to two specially designed nozzles on his hand. How are they activated? A lever for each hand, that when he pulls it, releases the liquid from the tanks in a stream as well as lighting a spark to ignite it.

So what is he doing? Why, he's showing off his fancy Firebending moves with varieties of "HYAH!" and "HWUH!" and so forth while he uses his dual flamethrowers to show off how awesome he is. This is potentially the most dangerous and stupid thing he's ever done. Hopefully he won't blow himself up, even though he's clearly put a lot of work into his newest invention.

Well, what do firebenders usually fight? Or is it a stand around and look impressive occupation?

They usually fight... um... the Earth Kingdom... and.... the Water Tribe. [Cough] And look impressive!

There isn't an Earth Kingdom here, though. There isn't even the kingdom I'm from!

Standing around being impressive it is, then!

It's a living, isn't it? Much harder to make money standing around and not looking impressive.

[By now he's finished marking out an area for Sokka to practice in. Hopefully, this will protect people who aren't Sokka.]

And even harder to make money in a place where no one has money at all.

Oh, there's always money, it just takes a different shape.

I'd be interested to see what money you have.

Oh, I love being underestimated. Continue to do so. It's true, though, that I don't know as much about this place than I did my own world.

Speaking of things you don't have, it's too bad I've lost my desire to do any more smithy work. I almost had one of your knives finished.

It's a sword. I have knives already. But, if you manage to pull it off, I'll be impressed.

[markofthewise]

Sword, knife, stick, whatever. Firebenders don't need weapons. But anyways, when I was working on it, I had it just about at the point where the parts wouldn't all fire off at the same time and nearly kill you in the process.

That must be difficult, then, when they come across something that won't burn.

It's a tricky piece of work. I wonder if I'll be able to use it?

I'm pretty well-acquainted with fire. Granted, I've never seen a whole country dedicated to it.
