[With the day nearing its end, Sokka is finally ready to go public with the occupation he's been working on all week. So now he steps into the village square. Two metal tanks are strapped to his back, both filled with 'fuel'. Connected to each one of them is multiple-jointed metal piping used to house and protect a hose, both which connect to two specially designed nozzles on his hand. How are they activated? A lever for each hand, that when he pulls it, releases the liquid from the tanks in a stream as well as lighting a spark to ignite it.

So what is he doing? Why, he's showing off his fancy Firebending moves with varieties of "HYAH!" and "HWUH!" and so forth while he uses his dual flamethrowers to show off how awesome he is. This is potentially the most dangerous and stupid thing he's ever done. Hopefully he won't blow himself up, even though he's clearly put a lot of work into his newest invention.

Oh, I'm just doing something called firebending. Try not to be jealous that now I've got the brains, the looks, and the firebending.

That's not firebending. You're using flame throwers.

And you're from the Water Tribe Sokka. Even if you could bend it would be water, not FIRE.

Oh Zuko. You just don't get it, do you? Is it because I can bend fire without dancing or meeting dragons or being ticked off at everyone? I don't know, but the point is, I'm doing firebending my way and I happen to be very good at it.

Besides, maybe I don't want to be from the Water Tribe. No one there can bend fire.

But your way isn't real firebending. It's just... playing with fire.

And my way doesn't involve risking blowing yourself up. Fire is dangerous and unpredictable, Sokka.

No, it is real firebending, because it's fire and I'm manipulating it and it's awesome. Case closed.

So don't worry about it, Zuko. I made sure these babies on my back were safe. I've went through about five other models before these. They're perfectly safe.

You're only able to manipulate it out of your hands Sokka. A true fire bender can also firebend from his feet and his breath.

[Pause.]

And how do you know they are safe Sokka. What tests did you do?

All kinds of tests. And after I test these, I'll figure out a way to do it from my feet and breath too. One step at a time, alright? [WHOOSH! Some more flames!]

Oh good. And how will you do the lightening? I'm assuming you want to be good enough to do lightening?

That is beside the point. You're wanting to be a firebender, and therefore ba a part of the Fire Nation, as that is the only place fire benders come from. And as the Fire Lord I will only let the best into the Fire Nation.

Yeah, well, I'll just be like Iroh and be a Firebender somewhere else. I don't need to be in the Fire Nation to be great.

My uncle was still a member of the Fire Nation, even if he was somewhere else. Anyone who firebends is tied to the Fire Nation. You, firebender Sokka, are a member of the Fire Nation.

I am? Well great! No problem then, great to be part of the team, Fire Lord Zuko. Now if you'll excuse me I'll just-

HYAH! [He incinerates some snow.]
