Sokka the 77th - [Action/Voice]
[On February Twenty-Fifth, Sokka turned nineteen. On the Twenty-Sixth, he left on a routine mission to work as a mechanic on one of the Malnosso's three space vessels high up in orbit. There was no battle, this time. Just good honest work, people to relate to, and a small bunk to call his own. Seven days, just like that.
On March Fourth, one of the mechanics triggered a malfunction on the hangar doors. The crew quickly fled, just as the power went down. They needed to close the hatch leading to the hallway. But without power, it could only be closed from one side. The one about to be opened up into space. The hero, the stupid hero, closed the door. In those brief moments, he thought that maybe if he reached a Tyr Fighter, he could climb in one of those. He ran. Hard.
He didn't make it.
Today, he fell into the sea, nearly drowning, and was saved by the Avatar. It distracted him from what happened, but now that she was off exploring town, he had the chance to go in his room, get dressed, and collect his weapons. It was a good thing he chose not to bring them. They'd be out floating in space right now, otherwise. One thing was strange, though. He wasn't upset. He wasn't distressed. He could only look back on it and regret that it even happened. That was a week's worth of points he wouldn't be getting. Damn Malnosso cheapskates.
After a bit of cleaning up, he went to go approach this new day. He'd be gone from Luceti for two weeks. People would probably miss him. But his first destination was the smithy.
The only problem was that once he got to the smithy, he found himself looking at the walls. They were barer than he left them. People had been picking up some of the weapons he'd made. Well, that wasn't going to do. He wasn't running a charity here.]
Hey Luceti. Looks like I got back in time for the new feathers to roll in. I'm Sokka. Hope you guys are settling in fine! I run the Slash 'n Crash, the local smithy and weapon shop. I make most of the weapons here. I do take commissions if people want stuff. But since there's no money, just talk to me and we can work out a trade. No point in breaking your back for nothing, right?
Anyway, did I miss anything important?
[For the rest of the day, Sokka can be found at the smithy. Later he does about an hour of catch up work at the library, before going home to dinner. Remarkably enough, he doesn't feel like drinking today.
Today is a good day.]

[After that Loki closes the journal and goes out to pay Sokka a visit. He knows he's horrible at removing barnacles. He arrives 30 minutes later because getting Skittles at one of the shop is also important.]
Good afternoon?

He starts to saunter around the shop.]
I wish to take a look at your goods, dear salesman. Could you show me some, perhaps? I am sure we are able to strike a good deal when payment becomes an issue.

Oh. Right. You're the skittles kid.

I prefer Loki over 'skittles kid'. Loki will do fine.
[action]
[He turns to head to the workshop where all the goodies are. Right now the shop itself? Nearly empty.]

[Loki follows him to where the goodies are.]
[action]
[He waves dismissively and ducks through the door to go sort through his stuff.]
[action]
[Loki heavily considers scraping off barnacles for this guy. Perhaps he is just going to reside to one of those things Loki's do best: obtaining certain objects without paying for them.
He follows Sokka and stands besides him as he rummages through some things.]

Because, Lock-ey, I offer a service for which I am severely under-compensated for. I don't have to work to eat and I do my work out of the goodness of my heart. But I'm running low on goodness these days.
[action]
That does not go unnoticed, unfortunately. May I ask why you are slowly running out of goodness? Or is there a limited amount of goodness inside your body by default?
[Loki takes a hold of the bow and inspects it.]
Can I request awesome carvings to personalize this bow more? Are you able to do that?

If I were you I would have put more effort in maintaining goodness levels, Socka. Second of all, have you ever thought about how much your name sounds like 'sock'? Of course the logical response coming from you would be that mine sounds like 'lock' but that is already something I have established by myself.
[He holds the bow up.]
Of course. A new personalized bow.

My word! I did? And a hug as well? You know, this day started out as a quite average one, but I think you have just completely made this day by saying such kind words.
[He puts the bow down and throws his arms up, his voice dripping with sarcasm.]
Well, let us seal this deal with a warm embrace.

I am bringing it, goat-like-beard.
[He walks towards Sokka and gives him that hug.]</smalL.

But when it ends, he turns back around and keeps his scowl to himself.]
Well now that we got that over with, let's talk about your bow customization.

[Loki smiles very friendly. Almost a bit too friendly.]
Can I have a discount? It seems to be mandatory now, you see?
[action]
No, my hugs come with a fee too. But don't worry, I'll find a way to work that in too.
[action]
[Loki shakes his head.]
Thus I am not willing to pay a fee for that. I wish to receive my bow and after that I shall scrape the barnacles off your ship.
[Only he will not.]

See, I've been doing this for three years. I have an established reputation for providing quality goods. I make good on my transactions. You, however, have no reputation. And I don't know you. So I get payment first, then you get your order. That's how it works here.

[Loki smiles broadly.]
Please show me your boat. I shall put my daft hands to work then.
[Nope, he's not gonna.]
But please take the bow with you while I free your boat from the barnacly plague.

[He watches the other putting the bow away.]
Shall I give you a long and thorough lecture about trust and the importance of trust? I think that is necessary.
[Loki actually thinks Sokka is kind of a douche. So he is going to make it an extra long speech.]
Pay attention to my words, it might be quite enlightening for you. And I am most sure it will contain an important life lesson as well, you see?
[He follows Sokka to the display case, arms crossed.]
Because what is friendship without trust. Friendship without trust is not a friendship. Trust means that you believe eachother no matter what is said, that is why trust is so very, very important. Of course we are not friends, not yet...

...but who knows, this might be the beginning of a fantastic friendship.
