Sokka the 71st - [Action/Voice]

[Today, Sokka starts out with some simple messages for the journal.]

I know this is pretty late, but... Luceti has a way of causing delays. I got a lot of orders two months ago and they're all finally finished. If you haven't already picked them up, then... well, you should do that. I think you'll be pleased. [ooc: if you want to assume they already picked this stuff up a while ago, that's fine too!]

So, now that it's nice and warm these days, how do people feel about... fishing? I just made my own fishing rod, so I'm thinking tomorrow morning? Fishing time. On the river, maybe. Or I could bring out one of the boats and head to the lake. Some company wouldn't hurt. As long as you're not the noisy kind. I uh, actually want to catch some fish.

20th

[For today, Sokka works his regular shift at the smithy. From morning until the afternoon, he's at the smithy. There's not much to do now that he's done, so he straightens things out, hangs out on the couch with an alchemy book in his face, or if he gets bored with that... he reaches for his fishing rod under the couch and does a few practice casts. If he thinks no one will catch him doing it. Winry wouldn't approve. 8|

In the afternoon, he'll be around House 56 in the front and back yard, with a can of dirt and pushing over rocks and stones looking for worms underneath. A good fisherman needs his bait, after all! And he wants to be ready for tomorrow!]

21st

[As soon as his sparring practice is over, Sokka sets himself up on the southernmost bridge in town. Sure, it's a little gloomy today, but still time to fish. He has a chair, he has a fishing line, he has a cold box to put fish in, and he has not shortage of snacks and drinks. About ten minutes into his fishing, he gets drenched. Watch as poor Sokka has to gather up his stuff and flee back home. Later when he has an umbrella, he dejectedly heads to the smithy to put in a few hours. And then a few more hours later at the library to do alchemy research. No fishing today. :(]

22nd

[After a rainy day and rainy night, Sokka wakes up to A BIG BEAUTIFUL RAINBOW. He'll try to rush through his morning training, that way he can head to the river west of his house and ready a canoe. With a clear sky above, he's going out to the lake for fishing. There's room enough for two, for anyone eager to join. Following that, he'll be out on the southern lake fishing, cooking fish on the shore for lunch, and enjoying a good solid day off. STRESS FREE.]

[He recognizes that it's not Nala, anyway. It does seem familiar. He tried to learn Cure magic from Xion, but. It wasn't really working out.]

This isn't going to be something weird, is it?

Weird? No, if this works correctly it'll teleport us wherever I want... within the village.

Really? [So it's... like the teleporters? Maybe?] What do I need to do?

Stand entirely in the circle.

[...which is admittedly a little small for how wide his shoulders are, but. There is space]

... it's a little small for that, isn't it?

[Like. They'd have to stand together really awkwardly close small.]

Shut up and get in the circle!

Fine! [He. Gets in there. Okay, now we're all tight and pretty much against each other. Hope she's happy.] Now what?

[Okay... inhales, exhale. she focuses hard on both the blood she put down for the signil and... a mental picture of the interior of Seventh Heaven. That's just a few buildings over, it should be fine. she presses her back into Sokka's chest a bit as she does this to ensure they are both in the circle. Focus... focus...

And then they will both vanish. The teleporting worked, but because she's still new there's a margin of error - in this case, they ended up on the roof of Seventh Heaven. Haruhi felt them leave and knows they arrived (and are getting wet? Dammit) wherever they showed up...

But it also put a wave of dizziness on her. So she's just going to keep leaning on him]

[... and now they're getting drenched. This is what he came to the library to avoid. He'd be more angry if Haruhi wasn't still leaning on him. Now it's just weird and awkward and damp.]

... well. It worked. But I think you need to work on your destination. [Now where the heck are they?]

Shut up. [But she sounds tired as she says it. Is it really just the teleporting? No, she's been doing it a lot. Maybe it's all the magic stacking up...]

[He stares up at the rain again. It's not too cold at least. Spring is really starting to set in.]

We should get inside, before we get completely drenched.

Yeah... [Okay. Okay just open your eyes. There. Push off sokka]

Yeah, I hear that.

[So where are they...? Two stories up, somewhere. Looking around and thinking... oh balls.] We're on Seventh Heaven's roof.

[Seventh Heaven? Oh, of course. There's his smithy, the grocery, the other shops... yeah, that makes sense. So just under them was Cloud Nine.]

And here's me without any rope. Hopefully there's a ladder or something up here.

[Saying that, he started his search.]

All else fails, you can jump first and catch me.

[Maybe there's an outside staircase up to Cloud Nine. That would mean there's only a one floor drop. She looks too, but it's slower and after looking around one side she just sighs and sits down, waiting for Sokka to just find it]

[Well. A one floor jump is no big deal. A two floor one he might manage too, if he timed it right. But after circling the roof and finding nothing, but the platform in front of Cloud Nine, he decides he may as well get it over with. He jumps without saying anything.

He'll wait down there for her to follow.]

[Oh, there is it is. She nods, and then stands to get over and unceremoniously just leaps down next to him. Catch her or not, she can manage a one floor jump herself]

[Except she told him to catch her, so when he sees her positioned to jump, he intercepts to try to catch her. Which isn't as graceful as it could be, since they're both nearly soaked by now.]

Waaa-- oh! [Oh, okay. She slips out of the falling, getting to her feet as soon as she can, but the catching was nice]

[Whoops! But once she's up, Sokka retreats to the side of the building. The part of the roof hanging over them at least gives some shelter from the rain.]

Uh, sorry about that. I should work on my... catching.

It's fine.

[She shakes at her hair. Fine. It's all fine]

[He frowns a bit. He's got a good guess that she's not just upset because she messed up.]

We should get dried off. You hungry?

Not really. [Not that she's eaten since breakfast, but she doesn't have much an an appetite right now]

Well. Seventh Heaven is just a floor down. And it might be better to dry off there. Water and libraries don't really mix, right?

Like I don't know-! ...Augh! Fine, fine, I'm going!

[and with that she will leap off herself to get down to the ground floor!

...Which hurts, but she rolls down at the bottom and pulls it off pretty well]

[Except rolling on the rain covered ground isn't that good of an idea. Sokka should probably take the stairs, but... he decides to follow her way. But he times his jump a little further away from her and falls after her.]

We could have took the stairs. You alright?
