Appointments Post

This post is for threading with Sokka anytime and anywhere. It can be used for Action or the Ring feature on journals to get in contact with him for personal conversations.

Oh. Well um. That must've been cozy.

Really. He's not so bad. Well -- that or I have an overwhelming talent for attracting the socially challenged. That seems way more likely.

Yeeeeah, pretty much. [And then he stands up.] Oh, hey, my house!

[ she takes the steps carefully -- not interested in accidentally dislodging her tiny passenger. ]

Normally? I'd knock. But you're with me so I figure I can just...[ a twist of the knob and she lets herself in. ]

[Well, it looks like no one is home!]

I guess no one's home after all. So... you may as well leave me here, I guess.

[ she feels a little...illegal! sneaking in here. a huff. ]

Should I set you down somewhere specific? Somewhere safe and cozy and out of the way of feet?

[Hmm. Where indeed.]

Kitchen counter. Someone has to notice me there.

Kitchen counter it is, then. And if you get hungry? You can get into the...whatever it is you keep on your counter. At Seven? It's bagels.

[ she walks her fingers cautiously across her shoulder, then flattens her palm out for him. one hand elevator, coming up! ]

[Climbing on board then. Here's hoping Momo won't come and harass him.]

Mostly just bread here. But I'll be fine. I have some jerky in my pocket. And maybe the hat will come off soon.

[ and soon he is settled carefully onto the counter's top. ]

Where's your journal? I could set it out on the counter beside you, just in case. Y'know -- open and ready for calling if calling's a thing you have to do.

[Yup. It's pretty weird being on his counter. His house is soooo big.]

Um, it's in my room, should be on my desk. [He points towards the hallway to the left of the entrance.] Second door on the right.

Right. I won't be long. You just...try not to go all Tom Thumb on us and get into shenanigans.

[ and off she goes! ]

[Deep into Sokka's room! It's not too bad. These's some clothes on the floor, soda cans here and there, and an unmade bed. But not too bad. If she cares to look around, the wall is decorated with animal skins and weapons. The shelf is lined with books of varying topics, though none of them are of the fiction variety. Most of them are reference books about a variety of topics related to mechanical work, electricity, plumbing, and so on. A few pictures are here and there (mainly of Suki, his sister, his parents, and gran gran. On the desk is some tools and the unassembled pieces of what was probably some kitchen appliance. Among that mess is the journal.]

[ how very...productive, his room seemed to be. productive and pragmatic. wholly different to her mess of decorative pillows and trinkets kept out of sentimentality -- back at seven. buffy tries to suppress the nosy urges but as she picked her way through the table's contents, she can't help but look around.

her eyes focus on the pictures, mainly. family. must be. a tight smile. soon, however, she catches the book up in her fingers and hurries out. to linger would be a transgression. ]

Got it! [ she calls as she returns. ]

[If she'd looked into his closet and under his bed, she'd realize that he is an insane hoarder as well. He keeps everything ever. One day he'll run out of room.

As for Sokka, he hasn't really moved except to inspect behind some of the counter objects. Tsk tsk tsk. There are some spots here that aren't getting cleaned.

He turns around once Buffy returns.]

Oh. Thanks. Just... set it somewhere, I guess?

[ she sets it out flat on the counter -- opening to a random page. just in case. ]

There. And -- will you be good? Fine? Need anything else?

[ as weird as this situation is, she doesn't want to abandon him with needs still in the air. ]

Need? What could I need? I've got food. I've got communication. I've got a hundred foot drop if I get bored. I'll be fine.

[He hopes.]

[ a wry smile. ]

You let me know when things are back to a-okay. I worry.

[Oh Buffy. Stop being so concerned! It makes it awkward when he's really not currently equipped to be reassuring.]

Um, yeah. Sure. I'll send you a message. Maybe even by Hawk, just to prove I was tall enough to write it.

...And meanwhile, I will freak out when a bird tries to deliver a message to me.

[ and on that bombshell? she's gone. ]
